Commerce, Data & Identity provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. These include initiatives and products that power digital commerce, identity, and growth, as well as those that reach uniquely across The Walt Disney Company enterprise, such as messaging and privacy, among others. Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, along with their interconnection with other parts of The Walt Disney Company.

We are looking for a visionary product executive to join us as the Vice President, ProductΒ  Management – Commerce. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and shapeΒ  innovative global commerce experiences that drive subscriber growth, monetization, retention,Β  and delight millions of fans worldwide. Reporting directly to the SVP, you'll have the uniqueΒ  opportunity to impact the future of commerce at Disney, working alongside some of the brightestΒ  minds in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the global commerce product strategy, focusing on subscriber growth,Β  monetization, retention, billing optimization, and overall customer experience
  • Lead a team of senior product leaders, overseeing a broader organization of over 30Β  product management professionals
  • Drive innovation in subscription services and digital commerce, implementing rigorousΒ  experimentation, A/B testing, and leveraging analytics for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership, legal, customer support, and viewerΒ  experience teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of commerce solutions
  • Partner strategically with key stakeholders, including senior executives across product,Β  engineering, design, legal, marketing, and data analytics to ensure cohesive and impactfulΒ  product deliveryΒ 
  • Establish and communicate clear KPIs aligned with business goals, continuously drivingΒ  product enhancements through data-driven insights and user feedback
  • Promote a culture of innovation, experimentation, and consumer-centricity within theΒ  commerce product management organization
  • Develop, mentor, and attract top-tier product management talent, fostering theirΒ  professional growth and career advancement

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of product management leadership experience with a track record of drivingΒ  substantial growth through commerce and subscription-based digital consumer products
  • Extensive background in digital commerce platforms, subscription services, monetizationΒ  strategies, payment systems, and customer retention methodologies
  • Proven capability in leading and scaling global product teams, managing complexityΒ  across international markets, currencies, and technology platforms
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic capabilities, with deep experience in large-scaleΒ  product experimentation and A/B testing frameworks
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating strategic vision clearly and persuasively to executives, cross-functional partners, and externalΒ  stakeholdersΒ 
  • Demonstrated success in talent attraction, mentorship, and the development ofΒ  high-performing product management team.

1. The hiring range for this position in California is $271,300.00 to $363,800.00 per year and in New York is $271,300.00 to $363,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
