Purpose of the position Leading a team of engineers and technicians to optimize production process, improve product quality, and ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical challenges, and align manufacturing strategies with organizational goals. Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Define requirements, technical specs, deliverables, and timelines via cross-functional collaboration.
Allocate resources (human/material/equipment) to meet budget and deadlines.
Build schedules using Gantt charts/Critical Path Method (CPM) and track milestones.
Identify risks (technical/production/supply chain) and develop mitigation strategies.
Technical Integration
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Translate technical specs into production workflows; resolve production issues (process parameters, equipment calibration).
Process Optimization
Analyze production bottlenecks and propose improvements (e.g., automation, process reengineering).
Implement Lean/Six Sigma to reduce defects and costs.
Maintain technical documents (specs, SOPs, ECNs) and share knowledge via training.
Resource & Cost Control
Monitor project costs (IDL/ DL labor/materials/equipment) to avoid overspending.
Provide data-driven insights (ROI, cost-benefit analysis) for technical decisions.
Quality Assurance & Problem Solving
Lead root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D method) for defects and drive corrective actions.
Address customer feedback/ Passdown and coordinate recalls or improvements as needed.
Project Closure
Coordinate final lesson learn, client acceptance, and handover.
Compile post-project reviews to document successes/failures and suggest process improvements, summary wish list.
Innovation & Partnerships
Evaluate new technologies (equipment/materials/processes) for feasibility and impact.
Collaborate with F1 partners (TPM/ Ops/ NPO/ AME) for R&D and innovation.
