The Product Owner role is part of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) organization. The PLM organization is responsible for defining new product features and enhancements, and for directing activities to ensure the timely development and delivery of reliable and efficient solutions to business requirements.Β We are seeking a highly motivatedΒ Product Owner with a strong background in Product Development Process who loves to collaborate with different teams to define theΒ backlogΒ and ensureΒ theΒ delivery ofΒ a customer centricΒ product.Β 

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Manager(s) and customers to understand and transforms the strategic vision of the product into deliverable iterations for their respective product teams.
  • Prioritize work based on stakeholder needs
  • Maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the product’s features
  • Develop subject matter expertise related to the products. Play a pivotal part in articulating the value of products to engineers and analysts
  • Develop deep understanding of the industry’s megatrends and current technical situation to drive strategic roadmaps and measurable value creation
  • Serve as sole interface with scrum/project team(s) by working with key project stakeholders and consolidating, validating and filtering requests for new requirements
  • Identify, manage and escalate issues/obstacles to the delivery the defined product
  • Responsible for delivering finished product (including documentation, adequate testing, appropriate functional and performance capabilities)
  • Building a relationship with the teams based on trust and mutual respect
  • Being able to listen, to show empathy, but also be decisive and be able to communicate clear and concise

Qualifications

Education:

Β 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related career field.Β 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (Desirable)Β 

Β 

Essential Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseΒ β€― :

  • Networking and Telecommunications knowledge - 1-3 years
  • Demonstratable background in investigating, analysing and documenting clear requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.Β 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of the full software development lifecycle are key success criteria for this role.Β 
  • Highly organised, self-disciplined with strong planning and time management skills.Β 
  • Strong stakeholder management skillsΒ 
  • Drive, enthusiasm & being a team player; you will want to make a positive contribution toward the team goalβ€―Β 

Β 

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Expertise :

  • Satellite communications knowledgeΒ 
  • Experience in Jira and ConfluenceΒ 
  • Experience within software engineering, especially developing with code. Must be able to understand the technical aspect of the product.Β

Ideal candidate will come from one of more of the following background:Β 

  • A product owner who understands the principals of data generation and transfer, with background in Wi-Fi/telecoms (is a plus)Β 
  • A business analyst -β€― with IT background, or understanding of networking principalsΒ 
  • A solutions architect who would like to explore a new career pathΒ 
  • A scrum Master with domain knowledgeΒ
