WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Product Manager is responsible for identifying and developing products and strategies for the companyβs product lines, including amusement, locker solutions, and consumer rental mobility. The role supports and drives growth by ensuring market strategy development, line positioning (costing, pricing, feature sets and competitive positioning) and product introductions meet the needs of the companyβs targeted markets, segments, and customers. The ideal Product Manager balances analytical decision-making with intelligent risk-taking. The role demands an ability to lead through influence at all levels of the organization as well as the ability to develop rapport and respect with external customers. The company has recently developed and introduced a comprehensive rental software solution for its mobility line β the ideal Product Manager will be skilled in saleable software offerings in addition to physical mobility products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Product Lifecycle Management
- Product Roadmap - Develop, maintain and execute the companyβs Product Roadmap in-line with company strategies and objectives. This includes recommending scope of present and future product lines, appraising new product ideas and/or product line changes and enhancements.
- Voice-of-Customer & Product Requirements - Define and communicate individual product offering needs through Market Requirements Documents (MRD) as determined through high-quality Voice-of-Customer and Voice-of-Sales activities. Negotiates product specifications with the Product Development organization
- Product Development β serves as Project Manager to shepherd assigned Product Development team members, consultants and/or contractors to ensure new products are delivered on-time, on-spec, and on-budget. This role may also negotiate with 3rd party providers and/or maintain 3rd party vendor relationships as appropriate
- Product Launch β responsible for the successful launch of products to the marketplace, the organizationβs worldwide sales team(s) and network of distributors. Analyzes proposed product requirements and development programs necessary to bring new products to market.
- Product Maintenance and Refresh β responsible for the ongoing relevancy and competitiveness of the companyβs product line; champions product changes and promotions accordingly. Partners with the Quality organization and/or Product Development to resolve quality and reliability issues and to ensure the effective communication of the same. Partners with Marketing Manager to drive interest (leads) for offerings.
- Product Retirement β plans and executes product discontinuation/end-of-life (EOL) to ensure an optimum product offering, maximizing revenues and profitability.
Analysis and Reporting
- Forecasting & Business Case β leads and/or supports short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, provides insight and information in support of sales forecasting for new and existing product lines, preparing return on investment analyses, established time schedules with engineering and manufacturing when necessary. Maintains the companyβs βUniverseβ of target opportunities in the US and supports the same internationally.
- Pricing, Sales & Gross Margin β partners with the Finance organization, regularly performs pricing, sales volume, gross margin, and product mix analysis to improve market positions, improve quality, reduce cost, or rationalize SKUs
- Competitive Intelligence and Analysis β develops, maintains and publishes competitive intelligence to various stakeholders throughout the organization. Such information is used to inform decisions, including product strategies, roadmaps, feature sets, pricing and βstreet fighterβ materials for Sales. Develops and maintains the process for monitoring and reporting on competitive wins and losses to inform future decisions
Training and Sales Support
- Training - develops and maintains product sales training materials; successfully deploys the same via multiple delivery platforms including live, digital, and print; delivers training to new and existing sales teams worldwide. Partners with Engineering, Technical Writer and Technical and Field Services department to produce and deliver installation and maintenance training.
- Product Spokesperson - represents products and the company with key clients and at tradeshows and events worldwide as-required
- Performs other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Requires a B.S. Degree in business, marketing, or engineering, with 5+ years of experience in a business-to-business environment.
- Technical aptitude a must; experience and interest in IoT a strong plus
- Experience with Software-enabled devices
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated business, analytical, prioritization, and planning skills
- This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
- Must have leadership skills, directly and through influence and persuasion.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations; VENU+ is a fast-paced, sales-driven organization
