We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and driven Civil Engineer with a strong background in design, construction observation, and professional consulting associated with land development and infrastructure projects.

What will you do?

This role will give you a rare opportunity to β€˜make your mark’ in furthering our service in Canterbury, in addition to active involvement in new and established projects across New Zealand.

This role is based in Christchurch and would suit someone who can work independently but in close co-operation with our team of engineers and surveyors. You will be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal and be a proactive team member.

Responsibilities include design and management of a range of public and private sector projects, including liaison and relationship management with a diverse range of stakeholders including staff, clients, contractors, specialists and council staff.Β

Who are you?

Β 

  • A BE Civil, BEngTech or equivalent qualification
  • 3–6+ years’ relevant experience
  • Proven land development experience (e.g. services, roading)
  • Strong design skills with proficiency in 12D
  • Ability to manage and deliver projects and meet client requirements, with minimal supervision
  • Practical on-site experience
  • Ideally, experience in construction observation and contract administration, with a sound knowledge of NZS3910
  • Familiarity with local Council standards and codes of practice
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing
