Responsibilities

Position

The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships within existing and new accounts.

Β 

Primary Duties:Β Β Β 

  • Responsible for managing overall business relationship for assigned accounts
  • Manage completion of customer presentations, QBR Meeting Materials and other internal reports and presentations as required.
  • Manage continued overview of the account status and reporting as required using aligned tools
  • Identifies opportunities within Customers’ supply chain to drive growth
  • Partner with other departments (e.g. Sales, Corporate/Regional Staff, and Operations Teams) to ensure continual and consistent service and growth
  • Ensures all operational functions are performed in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Analyze for process improvements and ongoing performance of accounts
  • Provide spot/ad hoc quotes as requested by Customer and/or Global Sales
  • Respond to complex logistical matters and questions
  • Oversee implementation of new lanes or other customer business initiatives (productivity improvements, EDI etc)
  • Teamwork - Must work professionally and effectively with key sales and operations staff worldwide in order to achieve macro target revenue goals.
  • Communication/Feedback - Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
  • Process Improvement - Identify new administrative, sales or operations processes that increase overall team efficiency and enhance professionalism and make recommendations for implementation to management.Β 
  • Develop, improve and maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge by staying current with important industry issues and networking with co-workers, customers and industry contacts.
  • Coaching to Program Managers and Operations on Industry and Customer trends and expectations

Salary- $65,556 - $104,724Β 

Β 

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on various factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.β€― At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.Β 

Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in account management and Sales experience in the Logistics industry.
  • Strong Account Management and Operations support experience in the Cargo industry.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to conduct Sr. Level corporate meetings and executive presentations.
  • Strong self-motivation, strategic focus, and the ability to quickly identify key decision makers and opportunities.
  • Ability to close business, clearly identify short and long-term global opportunities within the existing account base,
  • Strong teamwork skills and inclination
  • High level negotiating skills, ability to negotiate global contracts and processes.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills – PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
