Description

As a Product Owner at Kapitus, you will play a key role in optimizing our finance and treasury solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our team and work alongside the Product Director of Finance and Treasury. In this role, you will support the end-to-end development and management of financial products and solutions, driving the intersection of business needs and technical implementation. You will collaborate with stakeholders across finance, treasury, and technical teams to enhance our financial systems, processes, and overall organizational capabilities.

What You Will Do:

Product Ownership:

  • Manage the product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, roadmap creation, backlog prioritization, and delivery.
  • Define and communicate product features, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Accounting teams to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and UX, to ensure timely and high-quality feature releases.

Strategic Planning:

  • Refine the product roadmap based on feedback, market trends, and evolving business needs.
  • Conduct regular product performance reviews and adjust strategies as needed.

Research and Compliance:

  • Stay informed about trends in financial technology, payment systems, APIs, and treasury automation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations in product design and implementation.

Data-Driven Decisions:

  • Monitor key product metrics and KPIs to ensure ongoing value delivery.
  • Gather user feedback through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to continuously improve the product.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Economics or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with exposure to Finance, Treasury, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes, such as cash management, liquidity planning, financial reporting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product management best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Mambu or similar core banking systems.
  • Understanding of payment systems, APIs, and financial product development.
  • Knowledge of financing and securitization processes.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and treasury risk management.
  • Certifications in Product Management, Agile Practices, or Treasury Functions (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP, CTP)
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services, as Kapitus operates primarily on AWS
  • Previous experience working with integration projects between financial systems and third-party platforms
  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience with database/data warehouse technologies such as RDS and Snowflake, which form Kapitus's core data stack

Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes:

  • Competitive Base Salary Range of $96,300-$154,400. Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s geographic location, skills, and experience
