The commercially available G4ยฎ Sequencing Platform is a powerful, highly versatile benchtop genomic sequencer designed to produce fast and accurate results. In addition, the company is currently developing the G4Xโ„ข Spatial Sequencer, an upgrade to the G4, which will leverage Singularโ€™s proprietary sequencing technology, applying it as an in situ readout for transcriptomics, proteomics and fluorescent H&E in tissue, with spatial context. Position Summary

Weโ€™re seeking aย Product Manager โ€“ Softwareย with a strong focus on software to help shape and deliver the digital user experience for our spatial biology platform. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our software stack: from instrument UI and analysis pipelines to data visualization and cloud infrastructure. As the primary interface between engineering, science, and commercial teams, youโ€™ll ensure our software meets the needs of researchers, core labs, and clinicians.

Responsibilities

  • Own the software product roadmap aligned with company goals and launch milestones
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, commercial, and operations) to define and prioritize product features
  • Translate scientific and user needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Manage backlogs for sprint planning as product owner in Scrum workflows.
  • Serve as the on-site interface for product management, ensuring close collaboration and alignment across software, engineering, R&D, and commercial teams
  • Help drive continuous improvement of our product development and Agile processes to support efficient, cross-functional execution
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform feature development and usability improvements
  • Benchmark competing spatial platforms to guide differentiation and prioritization
  • Partner with marketing and customer-facing teams to support go-to-market and training materials
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality software by coordinating testing, validation, and issue resolution across engineering, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical product manager, product owner, or similar role.
  • Background in both software development and scientific domains (e.g., life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, bioinformatics).
  • Proven ability to write clear requirements and manage software development backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; familiarity with Scrum and/or SAFe is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working across multiple scrum teams and bridging between product, engineering, and customer-facing functions.
  • Hands-on familiarity with software tools like Jira, Confluence, and/or GitHub.
  • Experience supporting regulated software development (e.g., CLIA, FDA, ISO) is a plus.
  • Bonus: experience with spatial biology, single-cell omics, bioinformatics, or related scientific domains

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $136,800 - $188,00. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individualโ€™s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
