Job Summary:
As the Product Manager for Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) systems, you will drive the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of our EFI product line. You will leverage deep industry insights, technical understanding, and customer feedback to deliver high-performing, innovative EFI solutions. This role blends technical fluency with market-driven thinking, enabling our EFI offerings to remain competitive and aligned with enthusiast and professional user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of EFI productsβfrom ideation to end-of-lifeβensuring continuous alignment with market demands, performance standards, and profitability targets.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyze the EFI landscape, including aftermarket and OEM competitors, product features, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies. Translate findings into actionable product plans.
- Voice of the Customer: Gather and synthesize customer insights through surveys, direct feedback, events, forums, and support channels to inform product roadmap and refinement priorities.
- Technical Product Strategy: Collaborate with engineering and calibration teams to define product requirements and specifications for EFI systems. Advocate for user-friendly tuning interfaces, robust diagnostics, and backward compatibility where applicable. This includes creation of instruction documentation and new product training programs.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with sales, marketing, and channel teams to develop launch plans, positioning strategies, and promotional campaigns tailored to technical users, racers, and builders.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track EFI product performance using internal metrics, customer reviews, and return/warranty data. Recommend iterations, updates, and line expansions to maximize value and satisfaction.
- Trade Show & Event Engagement: Represent the EFI category at SEMA, PRI, and regional motorsport events to gather trends, competitor intel, and build brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Business, or a related field; technical acumen is a must.
- 3β5+ years in product management or a related role within the automotive aftermarket, preferably with EFI, tuning, or electronics product exposure.
- Familiarity with ECU/PCM platforms, tuning software (e.g., Holley EFI, HP Tuners), and modern fuel control strategies.
- Exceptional analytical, planning, and communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing.
- Strong customer-first mindset, with a passion for automotive performance innovation.
