The Global Orphan Project, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit ministry with a mission toΒ break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce, and the loveΒ of Jesus Christ. Β We carry out our mission by equipping and empowering localΒ churches to care for children and families in crisis. Β We are seeking candidatesΒ who understand and are enthusiastic about advancing our organizational mission.



What You’ll Be Doing


Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Work with the VP of Product to develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for keyΒ platform features, ensuring alignment with company objectives and user needs.
  • Work with the VP of Product to define and measure key product metrics toΒ measure success.
  • Actively prioritize features based on business impact, user feedback, andΒ technical feasibility.

Continuous Discovery & User-Centric Development

Β 

  • Participate in continuous discovery efforts by conducting customer interviewsΒ and usability research.
  • Use A/B testing, usability research, and data analysis to iterate on features and improveΒ engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users and their pain points, ensuring solutionsΒ solve real problems rather than just deliver features.
  • Ensure features are validated upon before launch to minimize investment andΒ maximize success.


Collaboration & Decision-Making

  • Work cross-functionally with product teams consisting of engineering, design, andΒ training to deliver impactful solutions that balance company objectives andΒ user needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define clear problem statements and objectivesΒ ensuring the team is focused on solving the right problems and has a clearΒ understanding of success measures.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, collaboration, innovation and rapidΒ learning.


Execution & Agile Product Leadership

  • Write clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria thatΒ communicate the problem, not just the solution.
  • Drive agile best practices by facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, andΒ iterative development cycles.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive feature and notificationΒ documentation, organized by user type, to ensure clarity and consistency acrossΒ the product.
  • Support the team in tracking agile metrics and providing regular reports thatΒ aid in planning while highlighting insights and progress towards strategic initiatives.
