POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, this role will play an integral part in building our competitive advantage through the development of innovative products and services.
This job requires that you be a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess excellent oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members and constituents to deliver products quickly and with high quality. You will be asked to contribute product features and provide design guidance for our products. You will be asked to deliver these products in the shortest amount of time. You will be asked to maintain and operate these products with minimum support. You will be asked to engage directly in the day-to-day development activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals byΒ identifyingΒ and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all products and services.Β
- Develop and manage a structure to support the growth of the company and its offerings.Β Β
- Develop andΒ maintainΒ key alliances with customers, haulersΒ and software/hardware and service providers.Β
- DevelopΒ the product roadmap to ensure a solid product pipeline that meets client needs and businessΒ objectives.Β Β
- Establish supporting processes for development, design, and introduction of new products and services.Β
- Lead business case analysis for developing andΒ validatingΒ new products and services.Β
- Establishing andΒ maintainingΒ key performance indicators, and communicating these items, on a regular basis, to the personnel working in this area, to track the status and success of the product commercialization function.Β Β
- PlanningΒ for all product development efforts to include theΒ subsequentΒ testing,Β releaseΒ and production needsΒ
- EvaluatingΒ new technologiesΒ and solutions in the market andΒ being responsible forΒ keeping abreast of trends that mayΒ impactΒ the CompanyΒ
- In partnership with the companyβs leadership,Β identifyΒ opportunities and risks forΒ delivery, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.Β Β
- Define and collaborate on theΒ overall product commercialization processΒ
- Establish the procedures,Β policiesΒ andΒ processΒ within the role as well as interaction with other departments outside of Product Development.Β Β
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science,Β Industrial Design, Business administration,Β orΒ relatedΒ technical field or equivalent practical experience.Β
- PreviousΒ roles in product or application development and engineering for high growth companiesΒ
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and supportingΒ SaaSΒ platformΒ forΒ commercial, industrial, and institutional users and/or utilities worldwideΒ
- 5-7Β years experienceΒ in managing both mainstream development and R&D activitiesΒ
- Experience with globally distributed teams and business partnersΒ
- Experience in development withΒ open sourceΒ technologiesΒ
