AI Product Manager

S&P Global Mobility is seeking a Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and growth of solutions supporting the automotive insurance market. This role serves as the voice of the customer, identifying market opportunities, understanding carrier pain points, and translating industry insights into innovative data-driven products. The ideal candidate combines product management expertise with a strong understanding of how insurance carriers leverage data across underwriting, policy creation, pricing, risk assessment, acquisition, and retention workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for Auto Insurance Solutions.
  • Conduct customer research, market analysis, and competitive assessments to identify market opportunities and emerging industry trends.
  • Engage directly with insurance carriers, agencies, and industry stakeholders to understand business challenges and workflow requirements.
  • Identify customer pain points and translate feedback into product requirements, business cases, and product enhancements.
  • Drive new product development initiatives from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Develop a deep understanding of automotive and insurance-related data assets and how they are applied within insurance workflows.
  • Partner with technology, data, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive customer value and revenue growth.
  • Define product positioning, pricing strategies, and distribution approaches to maximize adoption and market impact.
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to continuously improve existing solutions and inform future product investments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience in insurance, insurtech, automotive insurance, or insurance data solutions.
  • Experience developing products based on customer feedback, market research, and business needs.
  • Strong understanding of auto insurance carrier operations and policy lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of how insurance companies utilize data assets to support underwriting, pricing, policy issuance, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Experience working with data-driven products and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for an insurance carrier, insurtech company, or insurance data provider.
  • Experience developing tools or solutions used by insurance agents, underwriters, or carrier operations teams.
  • Knowledge of automotive insurance data, analytics, or software solutions.
  • Experience with product pricing, market positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Familiarity with DPPA, GLBA, CCPA, or similar data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with reseller relationships, partnerships, or distribution channels.
