SUMMARY
The Product Manager owns product outcomes end-to-end across Armorβs portfolio. This is not a requirements-manager or feature-factory role, and it is not an influencer role. You are in the repo: you write code, open and review PRs, and ship alongside engineers. You use AI to eliminate the operational drag (PRDs, backlog grooming, status updates, research synthesis) that consumed traditional PMs, and you redirect that bandwidth into building, technical problem-solving, and experimentation. You are accountable for adoption and customer value, not just roadmap delivery. As an exempt professional, you exercise independent judgment and discretion over product direction and priorities.
This role operates in a hybrid structure with on-site presence three days a week, specifically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, based in Plano, Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Additional duties may be assigned as required)
- Own product outcomes end-to-end: adoption, customer value, technical execution alignment, and business impact, not just feature delivery.
- Use generative AI to automate the traditional PM overhead: PRD generation, backlog refinement, customer insight synthesis, sprint planning, analytics reporting, release documentation, and competitive research.
- Build AI-assisted workflows that increase team velocity and continuously evaluate and integrate new AI tooling into how the product operates.
- Write code, open and review PRs, and ship alongside the engineering team. You are an active contributor in the repo, not a stakeholder who comments on it.
- Own technical design with engineers as a peer: APIs, architectures, data flows, and system constraints. You argue implementation tradeoffs from inside the work, not by handing off requirements.
- Build prototypes and validate concepts directly using AI-assisted coding tools, no-code/low-code platforms, and rapid prototyping stacks.
- Ship MVPs and experiments fast, driving product discovery through shipping rather than meetings, and reducing iteration cycles from weeks to days.
- Build deep understanding of customer workflows and operational pain points, design systems and workflows, not just isolated features.
- Identify where AI fundamentally changes user behavior or product value and turn those insights into shipped capabilities.
- Operationalize customer insight continuously so it feeds the roadmap instead of sitting in a research deck.
- Prioritize ruthlessly with incomplete information, make the call, and course-correct without drama.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- A track record of shipping real products. We care about what you can build and ship, not years on a resume. Show us the work.
- You write production code and review PRs. You are comfortable in a modern stack and can hold your own in a technical design review.
- High fluency with generative AI tooling across coding, research, analytics, documentation, and automation, used daily, not experimentally.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) to independently build, prototype, and validate ideas without waiting on someone else.
- Exceptional product judgment and prioritization; you decide what not to build as confidently as what to build.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the discipline to keep PRDs lean and mostly machine generated.
- Bias toward shipping over process; you automate repetitive work instinctively and own systems and workflows, not just tickets.
- Familiarity with LLM products, agents, APIs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, or prompt systems; experience building internal tooling or automation is a strong plus.
- Understanding of AI/LLM security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, and model limitations.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and security implications before they reach customers.
