Authorization & Posting is a foundational capability that orchestrates the real-time and batch authorization, memo posting, and final posting of financial transactions across the enterprise. This product supports high-volume money movement and customer activity across digital, branch, ATM, and point-of-sale channels, enabling accurate, timely, and resilient processing at scale.

This role is central to driving the reliability, scalability, and modernization of core transaction processing systems that support billions of daily transactions and a wide ecosystem of upstream and downstream applications.

The Authorization & Posting platform integrates across critical systems (e.g., Transaction Management Services (TMS) and related posting engines) to ensure transaction integrity, regulatory compliance, and seamless customer experiences. Within this space, the product team plays a key role in enhancing processing efficiency, strengthening controls, and reducing operational risk across end-to-end transaction flows.

This role is critical to advancing next-generation transaction processing capabilities. The successful candidate will:

  • Drive modernization of authorization and posting architecture, including real-time processing performance and resiliency improvements
  • Enable AI-driven and rules-based decisioning to strengthen fraud detection, risk mitigation, and processing accuracy
  • Reduce operational complexity through automation and platform simplification
  • Accelerate delivery of scalable, high-throughput solutions that support Wells Fargo’s core banking ecosystem

This role offers high visibility across mission-critical initiatives and plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, system resiliency, transaction integrity, and operational excellence within one of the bank’s highest-volume processing domains.


In this role, you will:

  • Align cross-functional stakeholders and manage interdependencies to ensure seamless execution
  • Analyze system performance, transaction flows, and dependencies to identify bottlenecks and drive data-informed decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to resolve issues and achieve strategic objectives
  • Drive modernization of transaction processing platforms (e.g., TMS and posting engines) to improve throughput, resiliency, and scalability
  • Drive operational excellence by reducing defects, minimizing rework, and simplifying workflows
  • Ensure solutions align with data governance, regulatory, and security requirements
  • Evaluate and refine digital strategy, customer experience, and product capabilities using data and research insights
  • Independently resolve complex issues and provide guidance on escalated challenges
  • Influence and execute digital strategy based on business needs, risk considerations, and evolving priorities
  • Lead and develop teams to deliver complex digital initiatives and achieve enterprise-wide outcomes
  • Lead large-scale planning efforts and define clear, actionable roadmaps
  • Oversee execution of digital programs, ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Own end-to-end transaction lifecycle capabilities, including authorization, memo posting, and final posting, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
  • Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, on product strategy and execution for Authorization & Posting, aligned to the Data Transformation & Delivery and Telephone Inquiry Systems-XQ team, to deliver reliable, scalable transaction processing solutions
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience driving change initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiency enhancements that deliver measurable business results
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and communicating risk in a concise, timely, and actionable manner
  • Experience within the financial services, payments, or regulated environments, with knowledge of applicable controls, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Experience with Agile practices, product management principles, and modernization initiatives including automation and cloud transformation
  • Experience with high-volume, mission-critical platforms supporting real-time and batch processing
  • Experience with modern architecture patterns, including application programming interfaces (APIs), data integration, and upstream/downstream system connectivity
  • Working knowledge of data and technology concepts including application programming interfaces (APIs), data integration, Extract, Transform, & Load (ETL), and middleware platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams) skills
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation tools, such as GenAI and GitHub Copilot, to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes
  • Strong technical knowledge of transaction processing systems, including authorization, posting, and end-to-end financial event lifecycle management


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Adhere to standards outlined with written policy as well as applicable State and Federal regulations
