Graduate Engineer – Mechanical

 

Location: Aylesbury

Salary - £30,000

Role Overview

The Graduate Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Contract Manager, as well as

key clients, to support the full lifecycle of engineering projects — from initial planning through to

delivery and handover.

This role provides excellent exposure to project delivery, health & safety management, procurement

processes, and client interaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety through supervision, inspections and monitoring

• Conduct site inspections and prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)

• Liaise with procurement teams to source materials, parts and subcontract labour

• Support the Project Manager in the coordination and delivery of project work

• Obtain permits to work as required for project activities

• Prepare project handover documentation and reports for clients

• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings

• Provide support across the wider department to assist with business growth

 

Requirements

• Some exposure to on-site engineering projects (water industry experience desirable but not

essential)

• Engineering qualification – HND minimum (Mechanical preferred)

• Strong analytical skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with colleagues

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

• Right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
