Eliot Sinclair is a South Island-based multi-disciplinary consultancy with a confirmed forward workload and a growing pipeline of civil infrastructure and land development projects.

We’re looking for a civil engineer based in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a minimum of two years’ industry experience. You’re likely in the early stages of your career and keen to keep building practical experience, learning from experienced professionals, and contributing to high-quality outcomes.

There are two roles available, based in our Christchurch and Queenstown offices.

Applicants must be currently living in New Zealand to be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working on civil infrastructure and land development projects: roading, drainage, stormwater, wastewater, and water reticulation.
• Preparing designs, tender documentation, and schedules of prices (with support and mentoring).
• Getting out on site and seeing your work through to completion.
• Collaborating with clients, project managers, and specialists from across our disciplines.

What We’re After

• A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering
• Two experience minimum
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication skills and a team mindset (a sense of humour helps too).
