Position Summary

The Director of Product Management - Platform is responsible for managing, mentoring and motivating a team of product managers and other staff tasked with defining and driving product strategy and execution. In this role you will have oversight of product decisions that include opportunity identification and justification, product definition, market introduction, managing market success and sunsetting as required.

You will work with your team to instill consistent behaviors around process, approach and communication to ensure that they are meeting their commitments to the organization. You will work closely with management, sales, account management, marketing, support and other teams to ensure proper organizational alignment. You will also work closely with development, operational teams and vendors to ensure delivery and ongoing support.

You will support your team in the process of evaluating market and client needs against the organization’s desire and capacity to deliver. You will constantly evaluate the changing landscape in order to understand how it may impact the decisions your team is making. You will listen to our clients and internal stakeholders to understand and help prioritize decisions.

Specifically, this role is responsible for the portfolio of products primarily used by application developers to rapidly build and enhance real estate applications. This includes internal staff who build new and enhance existing applications, external developers within our direct clients and 3rd party developers who may wish to enhance our products or integrate with them. This portfolio includes APIs to integrate with common industry applications and other critical systems (CRM, accounting, email, marketing, etc.) as well as industry-specific capabilities such as real estate search, lead conversion, contact management, tracking and analytics, e-signature and other critical core functions.

Within this role it is critical that you understand:

  • Performance, scalability, security and interoperability requirements
  • Building platforms and service-based products at scale

Job Responsibilities:

Specifically in this role you will focus on managing an efficient process and effective team including budgeting, mentoring and leading by example.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Be the subject matter expert for your given portfolio responsibilities
  • Maintain metrics and KPIs for the products within your portfolio
  • Train, mentor and coach the product team toward a collective set of work habits
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure they understand how success will be measured
  • Assist with go-to-market plans working with all departments across the company
  • Act as the team’s thought leader throughout the organization and to the market
  • Partner with team members and counterparts to encourage open dialog and issue resolution
  • Remove obstacles, champion your team’s causes and enable them with the right tools
  • Monitor KPIs including, costs, revenues and product metrics to identify risks and opportunities
  • Strive for valid business cases to ensure investment alignment against needsΒ 
  • Maintain an overall understanding of product profitability and potential for improved margins
  • Assist with build, buy, partner analysis to ensure adequate critical thinking
  • Make recommendations on and justifications for product introduction, improvement and retirement
  • Define the highest priorities and align the right resources against them
  • Ensure your team delivers effective requirements, use scenarios and stories
  • Mentor and motivate team members to achieve their potential
  • Provide visibility into product priorities, status and overall roadmap
  • Identify risks, obstacles and deficiencies that might impact success

Qualifications

  • A BS in a business or technical discipline is highly desired for this role
  • A Master’s/M.B.A. is a strong asset due to the level of analytical thinking required
  • Experience in leveraging AI to enhance outcomes and achieve product objectives
  • Seven or more years of driving successful Saas/technology products to market in a similar role
  • Five or more years of team management experience, especially in an agile environment
  • Solid understanding of application development lifecycles and processes
  • Experience in the real estate market especially in delivering technology products
  • Experience with similar products, customer segments and customer scale
  • Demonstrated experience making decisions that impact thousands of users
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating complex concepts understandably

Salary Range (US Only):

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $140,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.

Other Compensation (US Only):

This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

Time off (US Only):
