Job Title: Director of Product and Platform Management

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Product and Platform Executive with expertise in cross-functional collaboration. This senior-level role will be responsible for developing and managing a unified platform that integrates multiple systems across the company, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to work across various departments to create a business-driven roadmap, and oversee product development prioritization.
The Director of Product Management will lead efforts to define, develop, and launch new business capabilities that enhance operational efficiency and improve the client experience. This role requires close collaboration with functional leadership teams across Sales, Account Management, IT, Data and Analytics, Operations, and other business units to drive alignment and ensure successful platform integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Use design thinking methodologies to iteratively generate customer solutions.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with multiple stakeholders, including Sales, Account Management, technology teams, operations, and business leaders, to unify and optimize platform capabilities.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of platform features, ensuring seamless integration across systems.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify user needs and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to prioritize features, manage trade-offs, and deliver high-quality products on time.
- Lead product launches, working closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies.
- Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for user-centric solutions and exceptional user experiences.
- Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and implement innovative solutions to improve platform performance and user experience.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices, particularly within the automotive sector.
- Utilize analytics and market insights to drive informed decision-making and optimize platform functionality.
- Lead large-scale platform initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, and change adoption across the organization.
- Partner with IT and architecture teams to define system dependencies, enhance security, and optimize platform performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in product/platform management.
- Proven ability to lead and influence across multiple departments in a complex, enterprise-level organization.
- Understanding of automotive processes, including dealership and dealer group operations
- Expertise in customer-driven roadmap development, prioritization, and stakeholder management.
- Experience in integrating multiple systems into a cohesive platform to drive efficiency and improve user experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and work closely with development teams.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, design thinking, and lean product management principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a track record of executive-level engagement.
- Must be Authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience in the Automotive Industry
- Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based platform solutions.
- Familiarity with automotive regulatory compliance and industry-specific best practices.
- Strong background in technology-enabled business transformation.
- Previous experience in leading large-scale platform initiatives and overseeing product lifecycle management.
