Digital Product OwnerΒ 

We are looking for a Digital Product Owner to deliver product experiences that support Client Onboarding & Account Opening at Northern Trust.

In this role, you will drive the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of innovative digital solutions to drive business value.Β  Working within an Agile framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute against the product vision and strategy.Β  The Product Owner will act as a bridge between the users and development teams to create scalable digital solutions in line with our business objectives and customer needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Product Owner for one of more Agile teams; defining and prioritizing the product backlog to align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Partners with Product Management and business stakeholders to influence, support, evolve, and champion product vision and roadmaps.
  • Works closely with UX/UI designers, researchers, product owners/managers, and engineering teams to design and deliver intuitive and frictionless experiences.
  • Define and articulate feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that meet the definition of ready (DOR) to ensure development teams deliver high-quality, client centric solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, compliance, security, and data privacy requirements in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Risk teams.
  • Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Scrum Masters, Developers, Engineers, Solution Architects, and other Product Owners to ensure seamless integrations within the platform.
  • Lead backlog grooming, refinement, sprint planning, demos, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment with strategic goals, business objectives, and value streams.
  • Remains current and well informed on industry trends and client expectations, anticipating future needs & proactively positions product capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and communicate effectively with development teams.
  • Demonstrates skills in team leadership and project/product implementation.
  • Subject matter expertise in their product domain

Experience

  • 9+ years of experience in digital product ownership or management, preferably within financial services, asset servicing, or wealth management
  • Strong knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodology.
  • Experience in digital product, change management, business requirements gathering, process mapping, and/or user acceptance testing is required.
  • Proficiency in AzureDevOps (ADO), Confluence, and other Agile tools a plus
  • Experience working with client facing digital products is a plus.

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
