We are seeking a highly motivatedΒ Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support a mission-critical government contract focused on delivering advanced geospatial capabilities to a large-scale enterprise. This program spans a team of 46 full-time professionals supporting a broad range of geospatial services, including data processing, analysis, systems integration, and enterprise solutions. The Deputy PM will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure effective execution across all areas of cost, schedule, and performance, while maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the nuances of federal contracting.Β 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Β 

  • Assist the Program Manager in ensuring successful cost, schedule, and performance execution of the contract.Β 
  • Support communication and coordination with key stakeholders, including:Β 
    • The Contracting Officer (CO)Β 
    • The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)Β 
    • The Government Program ManagerΒ 
    • The Contractor’s senior managementΒ 
  • Contribute to key program management functions, including:Β 
    • Cost management and cost avoidance strategiesΒ 
    • Schedule estimation, monitoring, and trackingΒ 
    • Contract performance and compliance oversightΒ 
    • Risk identification and mitigationΒ 
    • Requirements gathering and analysisΒ 
    • Quality assurance and process improvementΒ 
  • Help oversee task execution to ensure efficient and effective contract performance.Β 
  • Use strong communication skills to support technical teams and facilitate reporting on:Β 
    • Technical progressΒ 
    • Emerging issues and risksΒ 
    • Problem resolution strategiesΒ 
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and coordination of technical documents and reports.Β 
  • Business Development and Proposal Support
    • Supports technical and management volumes; provides staffing plans and past performance inputs.
    • Familiar with pricing strategies, BOEs, labor category mapping, and clearance requirements.
    • Participates in pipeline reviews, color teams, and bid readiness planning.
  • Act as a backup point of contact in the absence of the Program Manager.Β 
  • Promote a collaborative environment across technical, management, and customer teams.Β 

Required:Β 

  • Active TS/SCI with PolygraphΒ Β 
  • Five (5) years experience as a program or project manager in managing programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.Β 
  • Proven ability to interface with government stakeholders and contractor leadershipΒ 
  • Shall have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.Β 
  • Proven experience in providing business development and proposal support, including technical and management volume contributions, staffing plans, past performance inputs, pricing strategies, BOEs, labor category mapping, clearance requirements, and participation in pipeline reviews, color teams, and bid readiness planning.
  • Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801 policies.Β Β 
  • Shall have PMP certification or FAC-P/PM Entry Level certification in Program Management or, in the alternative, OPM1 certification.Β 

Desired:Β 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with status reporting and technical documentationΒ 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)Β 
  • Experience supporting geospatial programs, technologies, or intelligence systemsΒ 
  • Proven experience leading software development programs, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and coordination across cross-functional technical teams.
  • Demonstrated technical acumen across geospatial workflows, software development lifecycles, modern DevOps practices, and AWS cloud services to support scalable infrastructure, data processing, storage, and analytics.
  • Experience with Agile and/or SAFe program execution environmentsΒ 
  • Previous experience in a Deputy PM or team lead capacity on a government contractΒ 

The estimated salary range for this position is between $170,000.00 and $210,000.00 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
