Civil Engineer

We have an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our business in Queenstown. Youโ€™ll assist in the delivery of professional civil engineering consultancy services, supporting projects from concept through to construction. Youโ€™ll contribute to design, investigation, documentation, construction supervision, MSQA, and project delivery, while working closely with project managers, clients, and wider technical teams.

Youโ€™ll also have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as a Project/Contract Manager, contributing to project planning, financial management, and delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities
ย 

  • Support the delivery of civil engineering projects across planning, design, and construction phases
  • Prepare expressions of interest, proposals, design briefs, estimates, and technical documentation
  • Undertake civil design, investigations, reporting, and documentation in line with project briefs
  • Assist with construction observation and supervision under NZS3910 conditions of contract
  • Carry out site investigations, inspections, testing, and reporting
  • Contribute to project management activities including scope, programme, resources, and financial control
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive team culture


About you
ย 

  • A bachelor of engineering qualification in Civil Engineering (NZ-based or Washington Accord equivalent)
  • 4+ yearsโ€™ professional experience in civil engineering or related infrastructure projects
  • Experience in design, investigations, and construction support
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A client focused mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
