Description

Β AUO Mobility Solutions Corporation America is seeking a technically strong and execution-focused Product Manager to drive next-generation automotive electronic systems, with a primary focus on Smart Cockpit Solutions (SCS).


This role owns a product area within our cockpit portfolio, working closely with OEM customers and internal global teams to define, develop, and deliver integrated vehicle solutions. You will play a key role in shaping products aligned with the shift toward software-defined vehicles (SDV), domain-based architectures, and connected user experiences.


This position is well-suited for candidates with a background in automotive systems, electronics, or software platforms who are ready to take on broader product ownership and customer-facing responsibility.


Β Β 

Product Ownership & Strategy

β€’ Own and drive the roadmap for an assigned automotive product area (cockpit-related solutions a plus)

β€’ Define product direction aligned with overall SCS portfolio strategy

β€’ Develop and maintain product requirements and system-level specifications

β€’ Support product lifecycle activities from concept and RFQ through development and launch

2. OEM & Stakeholder Engagement

β€’ Engage with OEM stakeholders across engineering, product planning, design, and architecture teams

β€’ Understand platform requirements, constraints, and key decision drivers

β€’ Translate diverse, sometimes ambiguous inputs into structured product definitions and proposals

3. System-Level Integration

β€’ Collaborate with engineering teams to define system architecture and key technical trade-offs

β€’ Support integration across vehicle subsystems (cockpit, infotainment, domain controllers, or related systems)

β€’ Balance performance, cost, feasibility, and timing considerations

4. Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment

β€’ Coordinate with global R&D, sales, and program management teams

β€’ Support RFQ/RFI discussions and customer communications

β€’ Align customer expectations with internal development capabilities

β€’ Ensure product direction supports program milestones and timing

5. Technology & Market Insight

β€’ Monitor trends in software-defined vehicles (SDV), vehicle electronics, UX integration, and system architecture

β€’ Benchmark competitive solutions and identify product differentiation opportunities

Requirements

Required Qualifications

β€’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

β€’ 5–8 years of experience in automotive or related industries (e.g., embedded systems, electronics, software platforms)

β€’ Experience working on automotive systems or complex electronic products (e.g., cockpit, ADAS, infotainment, connectivity, or similar)

β€’ Experience contributing to product or system development within a vehicle program lifecycle (e.g., RFQ, development, validation, or launch)

β€’ Strong system-level thinking and technical understanding

β€’ Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

β€’ Ability to operate in a global, cross-regional organization


Preferred Qualifications

β€’ Direct experience with cockpit-related systems: display, cluster, CID, HUD, HMI, domain controller, or related subsystems

β€’ Experience in system architecture definition, solution integration, or technical product ownership

β€’ Experience supporting early-stage concept development, proof-of-concept (POC), or customer-facing RFI/RFQ discussions

β€’ Familiarity with SDV architectures and next-generation cockpit platforms

β€’ Experience working across US, EU, and Asia in a global organization
