This position is an Exempt & full-time position located in McHenry, IL.β€―The pay range for this position is $110,000-$120,000 annually with bonus eligibility. Job Summary

Follett Content is seeking an experienced and technically fluent **Agile Product Owner** to lead the product vision and process transformation of multiple internal systems. As a strategic counterpart to the Lead .NET Full Stack Developer, this role is critical to the modernization of our applications and the way we deliver value to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will balance agile execution with cross-functional alignment, ensuring product solutions are delivered effectively and efficiently within a rapidly evolving technical landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Product Owner for multiple internal platforms undergoing modernization
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, epics, and product roadmaps
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with development and stakeholder teams
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Developer to align product delivery with architectural best practices
  • Modernize and optimize legacy processes, not just systems, to support scalable product operations
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and communicate progress
  • Monitor KPIs related to product delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Champion continuous improvement in both product and process delivery across the team

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile Product Owner or Product Management role
  • Proven success owning enterprise or internal platforms across the full product lifecycle
  • Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience leading sprint ceremonies
  • Technical fluency with the ability to engage confidently with developers and architects
  • Hands-on experience with product management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively across levels
  • Track record of driving modernization in both systems and business processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification
  • Experience working within supply chain, warehouse, ERP, or publishing environments
  • Exposure to legacy system transformation and digital modernization initiatives
  • Familiarity with software development best practices and DevOps concepts
