In this position -
Use your technical expertise to make driving safer, easier and better for our customers. The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.
We are seeking a diligent, detail-driven project management professional to support our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Software development activities. This involves applying Technical Program Management engineering principles and analytical techniques in support of delivering platform software for the ADAS ECU.
What you'll do...
Partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize, and deliver major ADAS software initiatives that span multiple teams and multiple organizations across Ford.Β
Understand the needs of stakeholders across the product development organization and influence as appropriate to achieve alignment on the prioritized initiatives
Apply technical project planning, management, and leadership for the development and delivery of ADAS Software (hand coded or MBD-based)
Apply technical project planning, management, and leadership for the development and delivery of software tooling and/or support software to advance ADAS product development
Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable ADAS to meet commitments across all customer constituencies
Lead team members on modern, world-class, software development practices, and precise execution of a technical plan (including management of milestone progress, dependency tracking, risk management, and risk mitigation)
Interface with and lead cross functional teams β Systems, Software, Feature, Suppliers, V&V, Quality to define and drive development plans, ensuring on time SW delivery with highest quality
Partner with technical development leaders to create symbiotic relationships that showcase high value in technical leader/TPM matched-pairing through delivery velocity
Utilize technical knowledge and capabilities to assist technical leaders and engineers in resolving dependencies and issues with stakeholders
Help to resolve or facilitate resolution of technical issuesΒ
Elevate the visibility of the team β provide regular βpushβ updates through wiki, Jira, Teams, email, and other communication mediums
Communicate and present project status to a broad stakeholder and leadership community
Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing mitigations and/or recovery plans in event of project slips

Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Controls Engineering
5+ yearsβ experience in one or combination of SW program management, engineering management, engineering supervisory role or a technical team leadership roleΒ in an embedded technical software discipline
5+ years of experience in product development for either automotive or similar high volume/high reliability marketsΒ
Very strong business English communication skills (verbal and written)Β
Strong presentation skills with ability to tailor material and presentation style to varied audiences (Executive to working level, strategy to technical)Β

7+ yearsβ experience in SW Program Management in an embedded technical software discipline within the automotive domain
Mastery of technical plan development (task identification, task breakdown, timing) for consumption at multiple leadership levels of the organization
Extensive experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc), and GitHub source code management tool
Extensive experience using Confluence to develop/maintain rich content wiki pagesΒ
