  • Provide technical leadership across Azure Compute by identifying architectural gaps, scaling challenges, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Drive the design and delivery of platform-wide initiatives that improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with engineering and product leaders to align technical strategy with customer and business priorities.
  • Take a structural approach in solving complex problems. Communicate to decision makers in a clear and compelling way.
  • Stellar cross group collaboration, able to drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large and diverse organization and deliver results that depend on the broader Microsoft organization.
  • Define targets for business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and track and report progress on them.
  • Help lead and champion a team culture that embraces diversity.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years people management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 4+ years of software industry experience working as a technical program manager, product manager or developer.

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:β€―Β 
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Β

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 7+ years of technical program or product management experience in a cloud environment.
  • 3+ year(s) of hands on experience with data analytic tools (such as Power BI, SQL).

Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
