From Fivetranβs founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. Weβre proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
Weβre looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join the Systems Engineering team and own our Quote-to-Order (QTO) systems and processes. In this role, youβll help shape how Fivetran launches products, manages pricing, generates quotes, and executes commercial agreements at scale.
Youβll partner closely with Sales, Product, Finance, RevOps, and Engineering to drive scalable solutions across product configuration, pricing, quoting workflows, approvals, and contract generation. A key focus of the role is enabling rapid go-to-market execution by improving how quickly new products, pricing models, and commercial structures can be introduced into our systems with high quality and operational consistency.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving complex operational and systems challenges, and knows how to balance business needs, technical tradeoffs, and long-term scalability. Youβre energized by bringing structure to ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, partnering across teams, and improving the systems and processes that support how Fivetran sells and scales.
Youβll have the opportunity to directly influence Fivetranβs go-to-market agility, operational efficiency, and revenue growth while working closely with Product, GTM, Finance, and Engineering leaders across the company.
This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies Youβll Use
Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, IronClad, NetSuite, SQL, Looker, Lucidchart, Jira, Google Workspace, and other GTM, finance, and operational systems supporting Fivetranβs Quote-to-Order workflows.
What Youβll Do
Roadmap & Prioritization
Partner with GTM, Finance, Product, RevOps, and Engineering stakeholders to build and maintain the QTO systems roadmap.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce friction, standardize workflows, and accelerate go-to-market execution.
Intake, triage, and assess inbound requests across pricing, quoting, contracting, and commercial operations workflows.
Evaluate business impact, operational complexity, technical feasibility, and scalability tradeoffs to help prioritize the highest-value initiatives.
Requirements & Process Design
Own requirements gathering and process design for prioritized QTO initiatives from discovery through delivery.
Translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable product and systems requirements.
Ask thoughtful, detailed questions to uncover edge cases, process gaps, operational risks, and scalability concerns.
Partner with business stakeholders to simplify and standardize workflows while balancing operational needs, user experience, governance, and system constraints.
Document business processes, system behaviors, data flows, decision logic, and acceptance criteria needed to support implementation.
Systems Delivery & Solution Design
Partner closely with Systems Engineering and technical teams to design scalable solutions across Salesforce CPQ, quoting, approvals, order management, contract workflows, and adjacent operational systems.
Help drive solution tradeoff discussions by balancing business impact, technical complexity, delivery timelines, and long-term maintainability.
Support delivery execution through backlog refinement, sprint collaboration, testing coordination, UAT support, rollout planning, and cross-functional enablement.
Ensure implemented solutions align to intended business processes and operational goals.
Product, Pricing & Commercial Systems
Own and evolve systems and workflows supporting product catalog management, pricing structures, packaging, quoting, discounting, approvals, and commercial governance.
Partner with Product, Finance, and GTM teams to operationalize new products, pricing models, and commercial motions quickly and accurately.
Drive scalable approaches to consumption-based pricing, quote standardization, approval governance, and commercial process automation.
Support operational readiness for product and pricing launches across systems, workflows, and enablement processes.
Stakeholder Management & Operational Excellence
Build strong cross-functional partnerships across GTM, Finance, Product, RevOps, Legal, and Engineering teams.
Provide clear communication, status updates, decision framing, and prioritization transparency across initiatives.
Define and track KPIs related to quoting efficiency, operational accuracy, launch readiness, adoption, and process health.
Measure and communicate the operational and business impact of delivered initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Metrics & Operational Excellence
Define and track KPIs related to quoting efficiency, operational accuracy, launch velocity, adoption, and process health.
Use data and operational insights to identify bottlenecks, prioritize improvements, and measure impact.
