Senior Product Manager
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager - Tech who is passionate about building products with strong emphasis on performance and customer satisfaction. In this role you will lead enhancements to existing products and launch of new products/features across our portfolio of satellite test solutions encompassing hardware, software and data analysis products.

In this role you will become intimately familiar with the Kuiper satellite and the ecosystem of IVT owned tools and services used in day-to-day satellite test operations. You will play a critical role in interacting with our customers, intake feature requests and manage backlog prioritization. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering complex products where hardware and software integration is front and center, and where data driven automated decision making is critical for success.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead the definition, design, development and launch of products that support and enhance Kuiper’s capabilities to test fully integrated satellites.
- Lead the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal analysis, and in collaboration with team leadership.
- Define product roadmaps based on product strategy and team leadership vision.
- Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
- Work closely with software/hardware engineering and data analysis teams to deliver features to production.
- Manage backlog prioritization and trade-offs among customer feedback, performance, and operational support load.
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

About the team
The Integrated Vehicle Test team is responsible for delivering functional spacecraft to orbit to ensure Kuiper’s mission success. We do so through development of advanced test systems and execution of test campaigns that help guarantee reliable operation of satellite vehicles in space. The tasks and daily focus change rapidly, and you will often take on exciting new responsibilities to ensure project success. Expect to be deployed to address complex problems by identifying the scope of the issue and quickly establishing innovative and functional solutions.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- 3+ years in development of test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
