TheΒ Core Finance Product ManagerΒ will work in the product model and help shape and execute the product strategy and key businessΒ objectivesΒ (OKRs) for high-value priorities that enable Target’s enterprise financial capabilities. This product encompasses the foundational systems within SAP that support general ledger, financialΒ close, consolidation, and treasury operations. The Controllership,Β Payables,Β and Treasury organizations are key stakeholders of these products, and strong collaboration across broader Finance, including senior leaders, and cross-enterprise product teams will be essential to aligning and achieving the most important outcomes for these capabilities. Additionally, you willΒ be responsible forΒ discovering, designing, and delivering solutions that modernize, automate, andΒ optimizeΒ our financial processes through SAP S/4HANA and related platforms.Β YouΒ will lead delivery for the Core Finance domain – the SAP-based systems and capabilities that power Target’s financial operations – working closely with engineers, UX, and business partners to bring those solutions to life.Β

As aΒ Senior Product Manager,Β you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key businessΒ objectivesΒ (OKRs) forΒ Core Finance.Β Β You will need toΒ leverageΒ the knowledge of your product, as well as customerΒ feedback,Β andΒ establishΒ other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product.Β You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, dataΒ scientists,Β and business partners to deliver a product.Β

You will be the β€œvoice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market,Β maintainΒ a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.Β Β

About you:Β Β 

  • Four-year degreeΒ or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of Finance,Β Accounting, or SAP systemΒ experience,Β preferably inΒ aΒ generalΒ ledger closeΒ and consolidationΒ roleΒ 

  • 3+ years of product management experienceΒ preferredΒ 

  • Experience with technology and ability toΒ facilitateΒ communication between business and technology teamsΒ Β 

  • Proficient in product methodologies and working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum team, sprints, personas)

  • Strong communication skills with ability to clearly convey priorities, progress, and outcomes to peers, stakeholders, and leaders

  • Strategic thinker with ability to translate business needs into product roadmaps and measurable outcomesΒ 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simplify complex financialΒ andΒ technical processes into actionable solutionsΒ 

  • Comfortable leading cross-functional work with partners across Finance, Technology, and Data teamsΒ 

  • Curious and motivated to understand end-to-end financial processes and their impact across the enterpriseΒ 

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
