Contribute to the development and implementation of the product management
strategy for internal IT products and services, aligning with Red Hat's overall business objectives and
incorporating team charters.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for internal IT products andservices by conducting market research, user analysis, and prioritizing features based on user needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Own the full product lifecycle for internal IT offerings, from
    ideation and requirements definition through development, launch, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with team charters.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development, timely launch, and ongoing success of IT products and services.
  • Develop, manage, and clearly communicate product requirements, ensuring they are concise, measurable, and directly address user needs and team charter objectives.
  • Track key product performance metrics, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and report on progress towards achieving team and business goals for IT products.
  • Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to all stakeholders across Red Hat IT, including leadership and operational teams.
  • Advocate for the user community by ensuring their needs and feedback are integral to the product development process for all internal IT products and services.

What You Will Bring:

  • Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Engineering or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have seven (7) years of experience with: contributing to product strategy, defining product vision, and developing/prioritizing product roadmaps for IT solutions; conducting user research, performing market analysis, and translating findings into clear, concise, and measurable product requirements and user stories; and working effectively with engineering, design, and other business stakeholders to deliver IT products and align on priorities.
  • Must have five (5) years of experience with: working within Agile or
    Scrum development environments, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management; defining, tracking, and analyzing key product performance metrics to identify improvement areas and inform product decisions; IT infrastructure, software development principles, or enterprise IT services relevant to the products being managed; and common product management software.

The salary range for this position is $209,206 - $326,280/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
