Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager with deep expertise in Adobe Commerce and strong thought leadership capabilities to lead and drive complex, multi-project eCommerce programs for a key enterprise client. This role combines overall program management, technical architecture, and strategic solution delivery to ensure successful implementation of Adobe Commerce solutions, and needs to be onsite at the customer site.

As a leader within Perficient’s Commerce Business Unit, you will orchestrate multiple concurrent projects within the program, provide technical and strategic guidance, and foster collaboration across global teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and business-aligned commerce solutions. You will also mentor technical teams, engage with clients to define vision and requirements, and champion best practices in commerce technology and agile delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end program management for an enterprise Adobe Commerce run and operate program including planning, organizing, risk management, scope control, budgeting, and milestone tracking.
  • Provide technical thought Β leadership and architectural oversight for the Adobe Commerce/Adobe stack implementation, including custom module development, integrations, and cloud deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and global delivery teams to define scope, design scalable commerce solutions, and drive execution aligned with client vision.
  • Own and drive architectural assessments, roadmaps, and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new technologies and solution approaches.
  • Facilitate client workshops and elaboration sessions to gather requirements, communicate delivery outcomes, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Lead cross-functional agile teams, supporting sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous delivery while managing dependencies and resolving technical blockers.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, architects, and project managers to build technical capabilities and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Establish and drive common practices, standards, and metrics across teams to ensure quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage stakeholder communications transparently, providing regular updates on project status, risks, issues, and successes.
  • Champion thought leadership by staying current on commerce technology trends, sharing insights, and influencing strategic direction within Perficient and with clients.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of industry experience with strong program and project management expertise in enterprise commerce environments.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) 2.x, including customizations, module development, theme integration, and third-party solution integrations (payment gateways, shipping, tax).
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in PHP (5 & 7), JavaScript, HTML, XML, RESTful APIs, and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-team, global delivery projects with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Demonstrated success in architecting, designing, and implementing complex commerce solutions at scale.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing team members, fostering collaborative and high-performing teams.
  • Solid foundation in computer science principles including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Comfortable with client-facing roles, including presales support, solution presentations, and strategic discussions.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s degree and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Willingness to be on-site to support program operations and client stakeholder interaction.

  • Exposure to Progressive Web Applications (PWA) and modern front-end commerce technologies.
  • Experience with the full Adobe stack.
  • Deep knowledge of commerce business domain in a retail setting.
  • Familiarity with global delivery models and offshore team management.
  • Proven track record of driving internal initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090.
