Senior Product Manager

Location: Sarasota, FL

Salary Range: $122,000 - $135,000

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the success of our client's direct programs. In this role, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, including development, pricing, coverage, and guidelines. You will ensure compliance with state laws and regulations, and collaborate with counterparts to maintain consistency across all states and lines of business, while addressing unique geographic, regulatory, judicial, and economic factors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the product review process to develop and implement rate, rule, and form filings (at least annually) in response to regulatory changes, market conditions, and business goals.
  • Manage responses to insurance department inquiries regarding filings, and communicate product and pricing changes to internal stakeholders (Systems, Sales, Customer Service, Underwriting, Claims, Risk Management, and Finance).
  • Spearhead new product development, including expansion into new states and personal and commercial lines of business.
  • Provide clear direction to internal teams on program rules, rates, and forms.
  • Define data reporting requirements to monitor program trends and key performance indicators; collaborate with the Reporting team to ensure data accuracy.
  • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of program initiatives.
  • Oversee pre- and post-implementation validation of system programming, and conduct ongoing validation of system processes to ensure consistency with programming requirements. This includes developing detailed programming requirements for data elements needed for pricing, segmentation, program evaluation, financial/statistical reporting, and data calls.
  • Serve as the Product department's point of contact for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in onboarding and development of team members.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Overtime may be required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of product development/management experience, preferably in catastrophe-prone states.
  • Proven ability to gather market intelligence and communicate findings.
  • Experience managing products in FL, TX, SC, AZ, NV, CA, HI, NC, and/or GA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new insurance products, modify existing ones, and train others.
  • Strong technical expertise in personal and commercial property lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as both a leader and individual contributor.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing business environment.
  • Sound and balanced decision-making skills.
  • Strong presentation skills (experience presenting to executive committees).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with advanced data analysis and Guidewire Policy Center is highly preferred.
  • CPCU designation or equivalent required.
