THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Product Manager โ€“ Business Continuity & Resilience (BC&R) is responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Business Continuity & Resilience product offerings. This role brings deep domain expertise to ensure our solutions align with market needs and integrate seamlessly across adjacent risk domains such as Compliance, Audit, and Enterprise Risk.

Youโ€™ll work closely with the Sr. Director of Product Management to shape priorities and guide cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, marketing, and partnerships. Youโ€™ll also play a key role in supporting partner strategy to address gaps and enhance solution capabilities. A strong technical foundation, combined with hands-on experience in business continuity and resilience, is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the voice of the customer - Work with customers, analysts and members of the field organization to gather requirements for future releases and feedback on current releases.
  • Act as the BC&R subject matter expert across product, engineering, and customer teams.
  • Inform and validate the BC&R roadmap based on customer needs and industry standards.
  • Align BC&R features with internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk workflows.
  • Engage with customers to improve planning, testing, and crisis response capabilities.
  • Track and apply standards such as ISO 22301, NFPA 1600, and BCI Guidelines.
  • Support partner integrations to enhance the overall solution.
  • Contribute to product positioning, onboarding, and enablement efforts.
  • Create and maintain the business plan
  • Act as the โ€œmessenger of the marketโ€ from the outside-in to the rest of the organization.
  • Analyze various market segments and collaborate with leadership to choose the best ones to pursue.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap and represent it for the product internally and externally
  • Monitor and incorporate industry innovations
  • Define user personas for individual products
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in marketing on the creation of positioning for your products and successful product launches
  • Create user stories for current and future products based on the marketโ€™s problems
  • Manage the entire product line lifecycle
  • Drive buy-build-partner analysis, and where necessary, review potential partner relationships for the product
  • Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement
  • Stay abreast of our competition, and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resource
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop product launches
  • Build a strong relationship with our commercial teams such as Sales, Professional Services and Customer Service to ensure go to market alignment
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree required
  • 5+ years of Knowledge of the Insurance Industry/SaaS experience
  • 7+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk, or compliance.
  • 3-5 years of a Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with critical event management, including preparation, coordination, and response workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of BC/DR operational best practices and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 22301, NFPA 1600, or BCI Good Practice Guidelines.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologiesย 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up oneโ€™s sleeves to get the jobย 
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organizationย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, auditing techniques or control programs
  • Experience working with Risk, Security or Audit frameworks (COBIT, COSO, ISO, NIST, SSAE16, etc.)
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric mindset.ย 
  • Minimal travel required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with integrated risk platforms, SaaS product development, or partner ecosystems.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute).
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSPO, PMC, CPM, PSPO, ACMPO, SAFe POPM, etc. Preferred
