Main responsibilities:

Albertsons Companies is building an end-to-end AI-powered ordering platform that transforms fragmented demand, inventory, supplier, inbound, and DC signals into one trusted ordering recommendation.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Supply Planning & Inbound Visibility to help build the Supply Planning capabilities within the E2E Ordering Platform. This role will report into the Director, Replenishment & Supply Planning and will own product capabilities that help Replenishment Buyers make better decisions across purchase orders, supplier constraints, inbound risk, DC inventory, and working capital.

This is a high-impact product role based in Pleasanton, CA, partnering closely with Replenishment Buyers, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Data Science, Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership.

Position Purpose:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the development of product capabilities that improve how Replenishment Buyers plan, evaluate, and execute supplier-to-DC ordering decisions.

You will help translate current manual buyer workflows into scalable product features, AI-assisted recommendations, and agentic actions. The role will focus on improving supply planning decisions, inbound DC visibility, ASN accuracy, dock and receiving visibility, supplier performance insights, and inventory productivity.

The goal is to improve OTIF and service reliability while reducing manual effort, excess inventory, aged exposure, and working capital tied up in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build Supply Planning Capabilities for the E2E Ordering Platform: Own product features that connect supplier constraints, PO signals, lead times, inventory position, inbound status, and DC risk into one decisioning experience for Replenishment Buyers.
  • Improve Replenishment Buyer Decisioning: Translate buyer workflows into AI-enabled tools that help users identify risks, compare options, recommend actions, and make faster decisions on POs, supplier issues, and inventory needs.
  • Lead Inbound DC Visibility Product Roadmap: Develop capabilities for ASN visibility, inbound exception tracking, dock and receiving constraints, appointment visibility, detention reduction, dwell-time insights, and supplier/DC flow transparency.
  • Enable Agentic Actions for Buyers: Partner with Data Science and Engineering to build agentic workflows that gather context, surface risks, recommend PO actions, route approvals, and log decisions for continuous learning.
  • Improve OTIF and Working Capital Outcomes: Prioritize product capabilities that increase service reliability, reduce inbound disruption, improve buyer productivity, and optimize inventory levels without increasing unnecessary working capital.
  • Partner Closely with Warehouse Operations: Work directly with DC and warehouse operations teams to understand receiving bottlenecks, inbound flow gaps, dock constraints, ASN quality issues, and operational root causes impacting supply planning.
  • Support Manufacturing Planning Use Cases: Extend supply planning and inbound visibility capabilities into manufacturing-related flows, including raw material availability, production input readiness, finished goods visibility, and DC-to-manufacturing dependencies.
  • Translate Data into Product Requirements: Define clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, metrics, and workflow designs that connect data modernization, semantic definitions, and operational execution.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Replenishment, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Data, Engineering, and Architecture teams to align roadmap priorities and deliver scalable platform capabilities.Β

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Product Management, or related field.
  • 6 plus years of experience in Product Management, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Inventory Management, or related roles.
  • Experience building enterprise products, data products, or operational workflow platforms.
  • Strong understanding of replenishment, supplier-to-DC flows, purchase orders, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear product requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify problems, size opportunities, and define success metrics.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Data, Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
  • Β Highly Desirable:
  • Experience with retail, grocery, CPG, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder/JDA, ERP, WMS, TMS, FourKites, or inbound visibility platforms.
  • Experience building AI-enabled, agentic, or recommendation-driven product capabilities.
  • Experience with inbound logistics, ASN, dock scheduling, detention, supplier performance, or DC receiving workflows.
  • Experience working with Data Science or AI teams on predictive risk, recommendation engines, or explainability capabilities.

  • Inbound DC visibility improves across ASN quality, receiving constraints, detention drivers, and supplier performance.
  • AI and agentic workflows reduce manual buyer effort and improve decision consistency.
  • Product capabilities improve OTIF, DC productivity, inventory availability, and working capital discipline.
  • Supply Planning becomes a core capability within the broader E2E Ordering Platform.Β
