About the Role

By vertically integrating best-in-class autonomy, hardware platforms and connectivity, drones will become critical and ubiquitous infrastructure that willΒ solve our customerβs problems faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before. As the Product leader for Inspection & Mapping, you will ownΒ defining and deliveringΒ our roadmapΒ across user-facing software features as well as underlying system architecture across multiple platforms in order to deliver value for our customers.Β
Location
This position is based onsite 5 days/week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. We offer relocation assistance if needed.
How youβll make an impact:
- Serve as the overall leader for our inspection & mapping products from product definition and development through ownership of revenue and adoption targets
- Continually develop and own the roadmap and end to end customer workflows for Skydioβs inspection and mapping products and integration partners
- Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems and develop customer personas and use case requirements
- Travel to customer sites and engage with end-users to gain a deep understanding of real problems and how Skydio can best solve them
- Work closely with other product managers, designers and engineering teams spanning hardware, firmware, computer vision, AI, and machine learning to execute on our product vision and deliver a first-class user experience, while also pushing the envelope on new technology
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer success to build and maintain close customer relationships and ensure success
- Partner with product marketing to develop launch plans, marketing assets, product positioning, pricing, and packaging
What would make you a strong fit:
- 5+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including specific experience leading development of compelling user-facing software for complex, electronic hardware products. Drone experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience building technology for Skydioβs enterprise and government focus markets: Global government, public safety, and commercial, spanning energy, utilities and construction
- An intense passion for speaking with -- and learning from -- customers
- Experience with asset inspection, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, robotics or and photogrammetry products
- Experience working with and delivering solutions for commercial and enterprise customersΒ
- Engineering or other technical background that makes you at home in deep discussions with engineers on complex technical challenges and tradeoffs. Experience building products with roots in AI/ML and robotics is a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Dedicated team player who strives to enable others to do their best work
Compensation:Β
At Skydio, our compensation packages for full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of options, comprehensive benefits, and various incentives and stipends. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $147,500 - $195,000*.
