Senior Product Manager

NCQA is seeking a results-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the development, enhancement and go-to-market of key products within our Evaluation portfolio. This individual will be fully accountable for the success of assigned products – from conception through go-to-market and ongoing lifecycle management.Β  The Senior Product Manager will serve as a key owner ensuring that their product initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.Β Β

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on producer who knows how to quickly bring products to market in a cross-functional environment. They will be expected to proactively drive market research, define product roadmaps, and build and maintain robust business cases.Β Β

This role will lead the consensus-building efforts across internal and external stakeholders – including providers, payers, and regulatory bodies – and will be responsible for managing the entire product approval process, including public comment, committee deliberations, leadership buy-in and approvals, and Board approvals. As the subject matter expert, the Senior Product Manager represents NCQA at industry events speaking on the value of the product, the content, and how to be successful.Β

Responsibilities:

Product Management

  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned evaluation programsβ€”from ideation to development, delivery, execution, and evolution.
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs and roadmaps, integrating customer feedback, performance data, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Lead ongoing engagement with stakeholders to assess product performance, identify pain points, and define continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the internal and external subject matter expert for the assigned products.Β 

Product Development & Enhancement

  • Lead the development and validation of new product concepts and enhancements through customer research, market analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Build compelling business cases with clear ROI and stakeholder value, and manage internal approvals (committees, leadership, Board).
  • Oversee product design and partner closely with content creators as well as the implementation and technical teams to ensure delivery meets expectations and timelines.Β

Go-To-Market

  • Own and lead go-to-market planning, including market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), segmentation, pricing, and positioning.
  • Develop compelling value propositions, and work with Marketing and Sales on messaging, and product narratives to support adoption and sales enablement.
  • Act as the product evangelist through external communications, presentations, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive strong external market development pre-launch to ensure product uptake and customer satisfaction.Β 

Β 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in relevant health policy development or product management roleΒ 
  • Knowledge of care delivery and health plan setting operational workflows, member engagement strategies, and clinical integration.Β Β 
  • 2+ years experience in a Manager or Associate Product position with progressively greater responsibility. Β 
      • Recognized expertise in quality evaluation methods (NCQA Accreditation program and HEDIS) preferred.

      Compensation & Benefits:

      • For new hires, this position pays in the range of $120K - $140K per year, depending on experience.
      • This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
