Role Description:

We'reΒ hiring a Sr. Product Manager to own the end-to-end admissions journey in Veracross β€” from the moment a prospective family fills out an inquiry form, through application and decision, into enrollment contracts and re-enrollment, and across the full financial aid lifecycle.Β Β

This is one of the highest-leverage product areas at Veracross. Admissions and financial aid decisions shape a school's revenue, its student body, and its ability to fulfill its mission.Β You'llΒ have real ownership of a product that matters to the people who use it.Β

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end admissions flow.Β Inquiry, application, review and decisioning, enrollment contracts, and re-enrollmentΒ through financial aid decisionsβ€” owned as a single connected journey, not a set of disconnected forms.Β
  • Integrations and handoffs.Β Clean connections between admissions, enrollment, financial aid, billing, and the student record β€” so a family is one family, not five.Β
  • Discovery and roadmap.Β Spend timeΒ with admissions directors, business managers, and enrollment teams to understand the work, define the problems worth solving, and ship in priority order.Β
  • Metrics that matter.Β Funnel conversion, application completion, time-to-decision, financial aid turnaround, re-enrollment yield β€” and the operational metrics that tell us our product isΒ actually savingΒ schoolsΒ time.Β
  • Cross-functional partnership.Β Day-to-day work with engineering and design on your squad, plus close partnership with customer success, support, implementation, sales, and marketing.Β

Requirements

This is a mid-level role β€”Β we'reΒ looking for someone who has owned a meaningful product area before and is ready to take on a bigger one.

Specifically:Β

  • 3-5 years of product management experienceΒ shipping software to real users, ideally B2B SaaS.Β
  • A track recordΒ of owning a product area end to endΒ β€” discovery, scoping, shipping, and iterating based on what you learn.Β
  • Strong customer instincts.Β You spend real time with users, write down what you hear, and can tell the difference between a feature request and the underlying problem.Β
  • Comfort with workflow-heavy products.Β You can hold a multi-step, multi-stakeholder process in your head and reasonΒ aboutΒ where it breaks.Β
  • Data fluency.Β You can pull your own numbers, build a basic funnel, and use metrics to prioritize β€” not just to report after the fact.Β
  • Clear, concise writing.Β PRDs that engineers want to build from.Β Updates that stakeholdersΒ actually read.Β
  • A bias toward shipping.Β You'dΒ rather get something useful in front of customers and learn than perfect a spec for another month.Β
  • Authorized to work in the US

Nice to have:Β

  • Experience in EdTech, K-12, higher ed, or another mission-driven domain.Β
  • Familiarity with admissions, enrollment, or financial aid processes β€” as a PM, an operator, or a former school employee.Β
  • Experience with complex calculation engines, eligibility logic, or workflow products with branching states.Β
  • Comfort working closely with finance or business office stakeholders.Β

  • 3β€―weeks of vacationβ€―per year
