WeβreΒ looking for an experiencedΒ SeniorΒ Product Manager,Β AIΒ Search & Discovery to lead the development of Grataβs core discovery engine β how dealmakers search, explore, and buildΒ conviction on the right companies. In this role, you will define, strategize, implement, andΒ optimizeΒ AI-native search and discovery workflows.Β
As aΒ SeniorΒ Product Manager at Grata,Β youβllΒ collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand customer needs, prioritize the highest-impact opportunities, and work closely with engineering to deliver high-quality experiences. At Grata, we will expect you to:Β
Build a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and behaviorsΒ by partnering with commercial teams andΒ conducting user research and data analysisΒ
Develop strategic roadmaps with clear milestones and measurable metrics to achieve ambitious goals and track progress effectivelyΒ
Work across design, engineering,Β data science,Β QA, and product marketing to define and ship the roadmap forΒ external facingΒ semantic search, ranking, recommendations, and LLM/RAG-powered discovery workflowsΒ
Prioritize initiatives ruthlessly using a data-driven approach to maximize impact and deliver customer valueΒ βΒ balancing quality, latency, cost, and reliability in production AI systemsΒ
Craft detailed requirements informed by customerΒ conversations, usage data analysis, and iterative feedback from design and engineering teamsΒ βΒ translating needs into clear specsΒ
Establish yourself as the go-to expert and trusted leader for Search & Discovery quality, building credibility through ownership, measurable improvements, andΒ continuous iterationΒ
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, distilling complex AI searchΒ concepts into clear insights that drive alignment across the organizationΒ
What we are looking for:Β
4+ years ofΒ searchΒ product management experienceΒ andΒ 1+ year of experience within private capital marketsΒ
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain tradeoffs and outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersΒ
Experience developing a vision and roadmap for an area of a productΒ βΒ ideally Search, Discovery, Ranking, Recommendations,Β and/or AI/ML-powered workflowsΒ
Experience building high-quality, successful products with design,Β data science, andΒ engineeringΒ teams, including launching and iterating using measurable KPIsΒ
Experience performing customer research to better understand your customers and uncover their true needsΒ around search intent, relevance expectations, and decision-making workflowsΒ
Can partner and influence effectively across all levels of an organization, andΒ regularly useΒ these skills to improve the work going on around youΒ
Experience in a prior startup or high-ambiguity environment;Β a track recordΒ of managing ambiguity and complexity affecting many stakeholders in an organized and structured wayΒ
Experience with data analysisΒ (using SQL/R/Python), metrics, and goal-settingΒ βΒ youβveΒ definedΒ andΒ owned metrics for search relevance and discovery success (offlineΒ andΒ online)Β
Interested in an office-centric culture with a flexible work environmentΒ
Nice to have:Β
Vector search/embeddings,Β hybrid retrieval, reranking, query understanding, or ANN indexing experienceΒ
ElasticSearch/OpenSearch (or similar) familiarityΒ

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidateβs compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
