As a Senior Platform Product Manager, you will be a key leader in shaping the future of our technological foundation. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, design, and various business units to deliver a robust, scalable, and developer-friendly platform that empowers our internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building foundational products that unlock significant value.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Platform Strategy & Vision: Define and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy for the platform, aligning with overall company objectives and anticipating future needs.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Own and manage the end-to-end platform product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate complex technical and business needs into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements (epics, user stories, use cases).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering leads, architects, and development teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of platform features.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with internal customers (e.g., product teams, engineering teams, data science teams) to understand their needs, gather feedback, and evangelize platform capabilities.
  • Technical Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of platform technologies, APIs, data models, infrastructure, and architectural principles to effectively communicate with technical teams.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor platform strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for platform adoption, usage, stability, and developer satisfaction, using data to inform product decisions.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Potentially mentor more junior product managers and contribute to the overall product management best practices within the organization.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate platform capabilities, limitations, and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2-3 years specifically focused on platform, API, or infrastructure products.
  • Proven track record of defining and launching successful platform products that have driven significant business impact.
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and data platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Experience with [specific relevant technologies, e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL, machine learning platforms].
  • Knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity needs of SaaS organizations
  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., FinTech, SaaS, E-commerce, Healthcare].
  • Experience building and managing developer communities.
