Job Description

TheΒ Senior Business Product Manager reports to the Associate Director of Review Transformation within the Marketing Operations organization.Β  This dynamic role leads the daily operations and strategic growth of an evolving AI-powered platform serving a variety of stakeholders across AbbVie’s material review process (MRP). Β As the product subject matter expert, this individual is a catalyst for turning vision into realityβ€”bridging technical solutions with business needs, transforming stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable roadmaps, relentlessly driving system enhancements and timelines, passionately championing platform value and user adoption, and consistently measuring the impact to fuel ongoing growth and success. This leader applies systems thinking and business product management expertise, seamlessly partnering with IT and cross-functional partners to manage a complex, novel and dynamic initiative.Β  The Business Product Senior Manager thrives at the forefront of change, acting as the hub between process change and product management, leveraging extensive experience in MRP, stakeholder engagement and technology to drive meaningful change for the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leads product operations for AbbVie’s evolving AI-enabled MRP platform, which serves a variety of stakeholders
  • Partners with IT and system leaders to manage overall product health, including robust integrations and monitoring
  • Owns, analyzes, and draws insights from business operational metrics
  • Leads continuous collaboration with Training and Support teams to provide comprehensive guidance on evolving product functionality and gather their feedback on user interactions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as product subject matter expert (SME), the central pillar of product continuity and excellence
  • Leads product operations: configuration, documentation, integration, and release coordination
  • Collaborates with Medical, Regulatory, Marketing and other leaders to align business priorities with technical delivery to deliver value
  • Partners with IT and system leads to maintain performance, compliance, and integration fidelity
  • Proactively identifies and assesses existing and potential strategic integrations between the AI product and related business systems to enhance efficiency and business data integrity
  • Manages and communicates business risks, ensuring alignment on timelines and resource requirements
  • Maps and documents AI-adapted review workflows in line with AbbVie standards, maintaining dynamic team-specific configuration guides (commonly known as brand cookbooks)
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive product documentation, operational playbooks and guides to ensure consistent implementation and knowledge transfer
  • Owns and analyzes business operational metrics, using KPIs to prioritize the enhancement backlog and influence the strategic roadmap
  • Provides post-launch and Tier 2 operational support, tracking, escalating and resolving issues
  • Communicates platform value, performance, risks, opportunities and changes to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business/Communications/Advertising preferred; MBA a plus)
  • 8+ years in project or program management leading cross-functional teams, ideally in pharmaceutical systems
  • Experience with pharma review workflows (e.g., MLR, PRC, MRP), Veeva Vault PromoMats and Adobe Workfront preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product operations (translate business requirements into product documentation, operational processes, release planning, technical documentation, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead without formal authority and deliver results independently
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills, with experience in agile or AI-enabled platforms a plus
