About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for our client to join the Global Domains & Strategy (GDS) Technical Services team and support the Next Round of the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program.
The Technical Services team brings together experts in the technical systems, processes, and infrastructure that support the global domain name ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical products and systems supporting gTLD registries and registrars, while also providing technical and product expertise to other teams across the organization.
The Product Manager will translate business strategy and organizational objectives into effective technology solutions. This includes leading requirements definition, business and systems analysis, product backlog management, solution design, testing, implementation, and ongoing product support.
The ideal candidate brings strong product management experience, a solid understanding of software development and business processes, and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. You should be comfortable leading complex, multi-phase initiatives, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and turning complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for development teams and vendors.

What You'll Do
Product Management & Business Analysis
- Lead business process, systems, and data analysis to identify business needs, evaluate opportunities, and recommend solutions aligned with organizational objectives, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Manage assigned products and systems throughout their lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through development, testing, implementation, launch, and ongoing operational support.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate organizational goals and product vision into actionable roadmaps, requirements, and deliverables.
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs, define scope, and ensure delivery remains aligned with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and strategic priorities.
- Conduct current-state and future-state assessments, gap analyses, and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements through stakeholder engagement, interviews, workshops, and business design sessions.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, workflows, functional specifications, and other artifacts that clearly communicate needs to business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors.
- Facilitate business and functional design sessions and evaluate solution alternatives, including associated benefits, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations.
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder meetings, business design sessions, and other collaborative forums to drive clarity and alignment.
- Apply business process design, data modeling, and process reengineering techniques to support effective technology solutions.
- Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including initiation, planning, requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, training, implementation, and post-deployment support.
- Work within Agile/Scrum environments to support sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Define test strategies, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate Quality Control (QC) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements and user needs.
- Coordinate system implementations, releases, and deployments, ensuring appropriate planning, communication, and stakeholder readiness.
- Develop and deliver user training, implementation support, and change management activities to promote successful adoption of new systems and processes.
- Support data-related activities, including data collection, profiling, mapping, validation, reduction, and consolidation.
- Help ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and effective integration across systems.
- Work with technical teams and vendors to address system, integration, data, and process-related challenges.
- Provide product and technical expertise related to systems supporting gTLD registries and registrars.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, governance groups, and stakeholder committees to drive alignment, decision-making, and successful delivery.
- Develop project estimates, manage assigned deliverables, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed on schedule and to established quality standards.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities.
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, partners, and external constituents.
- Prepare and deliver clear presentations, status updates, recommendations, and other communications for audiences ranging from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain high-quality project and product documentation, including:
- Business and functional requirements
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Process documentation and workflows
- Functional specifications
- Test plans and scenarios
- Project charters
- Status reports
- Presentations and stakeholder communications
- Ensure documentation is clear, concise, accurate, and appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience or knowledge in the following areas is highly valued:
- The Domain Name System (DNS) governance and ecosystem, including familiarity with registrars, registries, and the organization's role in the domain name industry.
- Salesforce , including its capabilities and/or development environment.
- Agile/Scrum product development and delivery practices.
- Business application development and enterprise systems.
- Data modeling, integration, and business process reengineering.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile software development environments, including requirements management, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including business analysis, requirements elicitation, solution design, development, testing, implementation, change management, and operational support.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing complex business and technical challenges, developing effective solutions, and coordinating system implementations and deployments.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk assessment, issue resolution, and conflict management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and other technical and business documentation.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive technical, functional, and business documentation.
- Strong verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, partners, and external constituents.
- Experience leading requirements-gathering workshops, business design sessions, stakeholder meetings, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, information systems, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, preferably within a technology, telecommunications, internet infrastructure, domain name, or similarly complex industry.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements and writing user stories for complex, multi-phase business application development initiatives using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with business process design, requirements workshops, data modeling, and process reengineering.
- Experience managing products or systems through multiple phases of the SDLC, from requirements through implementation and ongoing support.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Additional language skills are valued, particularly demonstrated proficiency in languages beyond English.
