POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing, the Product Manager will be responsible for the Biorepository and Custom Kitting business segments and designated products within the global market segments we serve. Responsibilities include lifecycle management and long-range planning, pricing and channel programs, market and competitive analysis, product positioning and sales enablement tools. Working closely with the Marketing and Sales teams, the job holder will construct ROI-focused campaigns to drive adoption and market share growth throughout all relevant market segments and geographies.
This position is office based at Sampledβs Headquarters in Piscataway, New Jersey.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product Lifecycle Management: Β build and maintain LCM strategies to maximize market penetration and market share growth, define and drive critical growth products and services, and sunset non-contributing products and services.
- Portfolio Gap Analysis: utilize available market data to build business cases on new products and services that expand our relevance to the marketplace.
- P&L, including list price, channel programs, net price and margin maintenance: develop price and program strategies to promote adoption and growth of products and services while maximizing margin standards and profitability objectives.
- Forecasting and Sales Tracking: build and maintain a rolling 12-month forecast for all designated products and services. Track customer progress through the sales funnel to closed-win.
- Reporting: report regularly on product backlog and sales with respect to forecast.
- New Product Introduction: build and maintain a new product launch process incorporating stakeholders from multiple functional groups to accelerate market acceptance and adoption.
- Marketing Tactics: working closely with Marketing teams, ensure development and tactical execution of external marketing for all products and services using all relevant market outreach tactics. Basing content on inputs from internal subject matter experts, ensure content is scientifically sound and customer benefit focused.
- Training: build sales enablement tools and educate Sales Teams on the market fit and focus for all products and services in the designated portfolio.
- Content: build, maintain and route for approval master content source documents for major products and services, from which all marketing and customer-facing materials draw.
- Voice of Customer Research: develop and gain VOC mechanisms to ensure content is well received and driving customer purchase behavior toward defined performance KPIs.
- Events: actively participate in relevant conferences to assist in set-up, lead generation and research.

- Travel up to 30% for industry events and client meetings
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Masterβs degree or PhD in Life Sciences preferred.Β
- Biorepository experience preferred, or relevant experience in a customer orientated environment in Biotech or Pharma industry, ideally with a good knowledge of product management processes across various industry segments.
- Demonstrates success in product and lifecycle management with at least 5 yearsβ experience in life sciences
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, prioritization and organization skills. Β Good attention to detail.

Salary range $100,000 to $130,000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience
