We are seeking anΒ experienced Manager, ProductΒ Management,Β to join our teamΒ in support ofΒ Operations Technology with an alignment to the CSM organization.Β As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role inΒ advancing athena and domain businessΒ objectivesΒ throughΒ the strategic use of technology.Β Β This includesΒ working closely with business partners toΒ ensure athenaΒ leveragesΒ sound business process management techniques,Β developsΒ thorough business requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs), adoptsΒ best fit technologies, maximizesΒ application off-the-shelf capabilities,Β andΒ strategicallyΒ developsΒ and enhancesΒ of ourΒ Customer SuccessΒ solutions, with a specific focus onΒ Salesforce and surrounding technologies.Β Β β€―β€―Β

Position SummaryΒ 

This role willΒ be responsible forΒ developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy asΒ well as managing the roadmap for ourΒ CSMΒ technology solutions.Β Β ThisΒ role willΒ be responsible forΒ ownership of complex and/or multiple product areas within theΒ Operations TechnologyΒ system portfolio.Β Β This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, customer success, and IT, to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into actionable product features and enhancements.Β Β This position will work daily within scrum to ensure effective definition and writing of user stories, prioritizing product backlogs, and making trade off decisions between scope and schedule.β€―β€―Β

ResponsibilitiesΒ 

Β 

Product Ownership:Β 

  • Act asΒ Customer SuccessΒ in IT,Β possessingΒ deep business acumen,Β CSMΒ subject matterΒ expertise, and technical process.Β 

  • Collaborate with the Product Management Executive Director toΒ identifyΒ business opportunities that can drive the success of our ERPs, including pricing strategies and build/buy decisions.Β 

  • Ensure that product decisions align with organizational goals andΒ objectivesΒ and program success criteria.Β 

  • ActivelyΒ monitorΒ and collaboratively manage theΒ CSMΒ enhancement and bug fix backlog.Β 

  • Proactively evaluateΒ CSMsΒ for areas of improvement.Β 

  • AssistΒ in the identification of customer requirements and translate them into actionable epics and user stories.Β 

Β 

Product Management Collaboration:Β 

  • Serve asΒ ProductΒ Owner for scrum teams across areas of assigned accountability.Β 

  • Help to remove obstacles to effective and efficient product and program delivery.Β 

  • Dedicate time to learning and research to stay current with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.Β 

  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, includingΒ Customer SuccessΒ teams, IT teams, and end-users, to ensure their needs areΒ metΒ and their feedback is incorporated into product development and enhancement processes.Β 

  • Partner with Product Management leaders to be the voice of product decisions within the organization.Β 

  • Act asΒ accountableΒ party for the portfolio and product strategy of assigned product area, via product roadmaps.Β 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure your team developsΒ expertiseΒ inΒ marketΒ and competition for your services.Β 

  • Assist Product Management Director with Product Launch decisions, including the management of all alpha/beta feedback.Β 

  • Foster an AI-first mentality and execution approach across our organization.β€―Β 

Β 

Typical QualificationsΒ 

  • 3+ years of relevant product management experience and/or extensiveΒ SalesforceΒ domain knowledge, especially as it relates to CSMs.Β 

  • 3+ years working with stakeholders in a business environment, working across cross-functional groups.Β 

  • Experience delivering enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday, Salesforce, Fusion, PeopleSoft, etc.).Β 

  • Technical understanding of dataΒ pertaining toΒ Enterprise Business Applications, ability to gut check technical feasibility and timelines, and remove technical development barriers.Β 

  • Experience managing tech in a SOX and SOC1 environment.Β

Expected Compensation

$121,000 - $207,000

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevantΒ knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles,Β and geographical market rates.Β  Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
