Product Manager

Job Summary:

The Product Manager l is responsible for driving measurable product enhancements, and the creation and development of new products. Develops thorough and effective go to market strategies. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and member requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with key stakeholders to deliver on time, on budget, effective products. Working and collaborating with various teams across the credit union.

Major Responsibilities:

• Understand the overall product vision and strategy, and champion and lead the implementation and development of the deposit product roadmap.
• Manage the scope of development for new products and on-going feature enhancements, and communicate needs to Technology development, external vendors, and user experience teams.
• Tracks, measures, and analyzes trends and data to achieve the maximum potential return product development efforts and to engage members.
• Define product strategy and roadmap by originating new products in concert with member needs and Firstmark strategic goals.
• Aligns closely with Marketing and Communication to develop an ongoing marketing plan to achieve growth targets and increased member penetration, as well as new campaigns for prospective members. Provides strategic direction when needed.
• Develop member experience workflows to document business processes as related to technical solution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners including Technology, Compliance, User Experience, Call Center Operations, Financial Centers and others involved as stakeholders in the transformation of our Deposit products.
• Oversees key product development and creates performance reports, data, and analysis that show effectiveness and adoption rates.
• Assist build and apply product management standards / processes across the product team.
• Monitors trends that indicate the need for new products and services.  Coordinates and participates in the development and introduction of new products and services designed to address member needs and to strengthen the Firstmark competitive position.
• Reads and studies applicable industry laws, regulations, new developments, and trends that may affect current and future product offerings.
• Develops detailed action plans with schedules, priorities and deadlines that are communicated and understood by internal stakeholders. 
• Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Education and experience will be considered interchangeable for this role.
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
• Possess strong business intellect and financial acumen.
• Ability to affect change; adaptability.
• Experience and/or knowledge of technologies: Symitar, Opening Act, Adobe, etc., preferred.
• Ability to exercise superior judgment when handling disagreements between stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
• Must be organized and the ability to multi-task multiple projects.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related graphics/illustration software.
• Thorough knowledge of credit union services, products, and strategies, preferred.
• Energetic and self-driven personality with a persistent desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills, required.
• Comfort communicating to senior management and large audiences.
