The Product Manager will lead a subset of NCQA's evaluation programs, owning one or more products from development to launch as well as managing the evolution of several in-market products. Programs may include but are not limited to Utilization Management Accreditation, Credentialing Product Suite, and Population Health Product Suite. The role involves cross-functional collaboration for product development, enhancement, launch, and pricing. Maintaining product backlogs and roadmaps based on customer feedback and regulatory alignment is essential.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Product Manager will be expected to conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities that can drive product innovation and growth. They will work closely with various teams to effectively promote and position the products in the marketplace. The role also requires engaging with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies, to gather insights and ensure that the products and enhancements meet their needs and expectations.
Furthermore, the Product Manager will oversee the creation of detailed product requirements and specifications, ensuring that development teams have a clear understanding of what needs to be built. They will also monitor the progress of projects and address any issues or challenges that arise to keep them on track. Regularly reviewing competitor offerings and adjusting product offerings accordingly will be part of the ongoing effort to maintain a competitive edge.
The Product Manager must build strong relationships with customers and continuously seek their input to help refine and enhance the products to better serve their needs.
