Senior Product Manager

A Brief Overview

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the evolution of specific business systems, and customer-facing digital capabilities within the Customer & Broker Experience portfolio, builds and maintains a team relationship between Information Systems and the client organization, and is responsible for translating customer, broker, and business needs into clear product requirements, backlog priorities, and value-driven enhancements.

The Product Manager functions as a Product Owner Agent under a Director-level Product Owner and is accountable for day-to-day backlog ownership, requirements definition, and delivery coordination for customer and broker experience journeys, including the Customer & Broker Portal, dashboards/analytics, notifications, identity & access experience, and presentation of AI-enabled underwriting insights.

Over time, this role will assume people-management responsibilities as the portfolio expands.

This role is eligible to participate in Zenith’s hybrid work schedule which provides the flexibility to work from home on select days of the week according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership. Selected candidate must be able to report into the Woodland Hills, CA or Sarasota, FL office on a weekly basis.

What you will do:

  • Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with the client organization and acts as an interface between the client and Information Services Department.
  • Reviews project analysis and written requirements and specifications to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and enhancements that support customer experience improvements and operational efficiency within an Agile environment.
  • Reviews and analyzes external drivers for the client’s business and conducts β€œbest practices” research.
  • Participates in matching technology to business needs and providing technical consulting services to users while ensuring alignment between customer experience strategy, product roadmap priorities, and CABX delivery outcomes.
  • Directs the work of senior and other business analysts and conducts evaluations and approves hiring, promotion, discipline, and salary reviews when people-management responsibilities are assigned in later phases.
  • Provides business expertise to ISD.
  • Coordinates and manages resources necessary in systems analysis environment.
  • Performs other-job related duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training/experience required
Experience Qualifications
  • 5+ years related work experience in systems analysis environment required

Skills and Abilities

  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in evaluating workflows, writing system specifications and using automated processes.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and thorough.
  • Supervisor experience in coordinating and managing resources to respond to clients’ requests.
  • Have experience in project management tools and techniques.

The expected salary range for this position is $103,740.94-$135,381.93. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
