Product Manager

Principal Responsibilities

Product Development & Strategy:

• Identify market opportunities and gaps for new molding solution products
• Research emerging technologies and industry trends to spot potential additions
• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
• Conduct viability studies including product-market fit, competitive positioning and business value projections

Business Management:

• Manage product lifecycle including introductions, updates, and discontinuations
• Set pricing and deliver annual revenue, profitability and asset plan
• Track product performance, sales metrics, and profitability

Marketing & Sales Support:

• Develop go-to-market strategies and messaging for new product introductions as well as current offerings
• Train sales and marketing organization on new and existing products
• Contribute to the development of sales tools and collateral materials
• Contribute to company e-commerce and product catalog support and management

General:

• Contribute to and participate in trade show support and representation when needed
• Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Occasional travel required

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Strong understanding of injection molding processes and auxiliary equipment
• Familiarity with the molding industry practices, technical as well as commercial
• Familiarity with market research methodologies and competitive analysis techniques
• Experience developing go-to-market strategies
• Strong analytical skills for tracking performance metrics and ROI
• Understanding of pricing strategies and business financial metrics
• Strong business acumen
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized, accurate and attentive to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects
• Strong computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Office software

• High level of integrity to protect confidential information and sensitive company plans

Education

Bachelor’s Degree – Business or Technical Degree

Work Experience

3+ years of experience in the Injection molding industry
