In the Central Infrastructure Process Programs (CIPP) organization, our mission to help develop and implement frameworks that drive our business forward in the most efficient and expeditious way possible. Additionally, we are charged with overseeing OCI-wide programs and are scaling the team keep pace with the organization’s needs.Β 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for hands-on TPMs with expertise and passion in solving difficult process problems and the ability to work both vertically and horizontally across the business. The successful candidate will be a skilled Program Manager with accountability for overseeing and driving technical programs across OCI and Oracle; this is a highly visible role that requires technical depth, strong program management and communication skills. In this Principal Technical Program Management role, you will be working across a multi-functional team that understands our business and its objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence rather than authority to drive projects.

You will define project scopes, plan and direct schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.Β 

You will monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. You will assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.Β 

You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in hybrid teams. You are a self-starter technical leader with a shown ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects.Β 

You have strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. You should be customer-focused with a passion for the cloud. You will partner closely with peers, developers, and customers to create solutions, while simultaneously evolving existing capabilities.

Job Requirements:Β 

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.Β 
  • Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.Β 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of stakeholder trust and confidence.Β 
  • Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Strong skills to evaluate program performance metrics.
  • Aptitude to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.Β 
  • Work as a lead contributor individually, and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others as needed/requested.

Job Responsibilities

The role provides strategic & operational analysis in support of complex business initiatives at scale for OCI central infrastructure including all of the following:

  • Develop a program framework.
  • Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable milestones and deliver against tight deadlines..
  • Gather complex, sometimes unstructured, data inputs from multiple sources (both internally and externally) and identify new data sources that will enhance business outcomes and support strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Build relationships and collaborate globally with stakeholders and partners to deliver outcomes across the organization, ensuring a shared understanding of progress and performance.
  • Ensure that stated and unstated goals, business issues, concerns and priorities are surfaced and understood.

Minimum Qualifications:Β 

  • 6+ years of experience as hands-on technical project / program manager; preferably in a related industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product development and experience launching and operating customer-facing cloud services

Preferred Qualifications:Β 

  • 10+ years of project management, product design or related experienceΒ 
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent work experience (MS Preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of data center delivery and cloud infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
