Auckland Councilβs Engineering, Assets and Technical Advisory department is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer.
Β
This is a pivotal role that provides high-level structural engineering expertise across Auckland Council. You will play a critical part in ensuring engineering assessments and advice align with industry best practice, statutory requirements, and regulatory standards.Β
In addition, you will provide expert structural engineering advice on complex and high-profile council projects, contribute to the development of engineering standards and best practice, and help drive consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes across the organisation.

You will be based in our office in the Auckland City Centre and we offer some flexibility to work from home or at other council offices.

You have extensive experience in the structural engineering field, with a strong background in design, peer review, seismic assessments, and construction monitoring across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

This role has a remuneration range of $140,000 to $155,000
Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered.
