This position is based in our Irvine, California Corporate Headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule and a few days remote per week.

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal, Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our pricing and experimentation platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, understanding pricing strategies, experimentation methodologies, and feature flag management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering customer-centric solutions. This role spans across multiple teams, requiring a candidate who is adept at collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, even when their goals may occasionally conflict.

Your role:

  • Managing the pricing and experimentation platforms with building new and enhancing existing features. Pricing features like tier pricing, discounts models, promotion models, contract pricing, rebates and other pricing features. Experimentation platform features like global experimentation dashboard to increase velocity of decision making.

  • Timely implementation, review, and release, adhering to deadlines.

  • Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the technology organization through market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications.

  • Acts as primary point of contact and coordinates Development and QA resources to successfully release new products/features on time and within budget.

  • A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to clearly define a problem statement, deliver a product vision, prioritize initiatives informed by data, drive execution, and champion the change management adoption plans with our partners.

  • Shape the vision and strategy of the experimentation and pricing platform, own the roadmap and execution of key pillars.

  • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer feedback.

  • Prioritize feature development and enhancements based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.

  • Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to enhance the rigor of experimentation and improve self-service capabilities across all functions.

  • Own the development of complex pricing models to price different products for optimizing margins and driving growth.

  • Shape the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for our Experimentation Platform, focusing on enhancing and refining our existing system.

  • Develop engaging educational materials and set standards to elevate experiment design and interpretation across the company, ensuring everyone is equipped to make data-driven decisions,

  • Act as a change agent to drive adoption of the pricing and experimentation platform across the organization.

  • Monitor product performance and key metrics, analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 8+ years of experience in technical product management.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex software products and platforms from conception to delivery.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.

  • Experience working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.

  • Passion for innovation and driving positive changes in the experimentation and feature flag management landscape.

  • Proven technical expertise and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to clearly scope, define, detail, and prioritize product requirements.

  • Solid grasp of statistical concepts essential for experimentation, including p-values, confidence intervals, and power analysis.

  • Understanding of pricing, discount, and cost models.

  • Ability to work with remote partners and team members via online tools across different time zones.

  • Position may require occasional travel, including international travel.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $127,800.00 - $217,300.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
