QTEC Aerospace is seeking a PRODUCT OWNER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals supporting a large Missile Defense Development Program. The successful candidate will be a team leader, detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The candidate will serve as one of the Product Team Product Owners on the Missile Defense Program Fire Control System.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Responsible for leading a team and driving value delivery for the infrastructure of a complex Missile Defense command and control system
• Occasional travel may be required

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 8 years of related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven leadership and program management experience with full life cycle development on large, integrated DoD systems, including requirements development and interpretation, design, implementation and test, fielding and maintenance
• Demonstrated experience as either a Product Manager or a Product Owner
• Team management/leadership in an Agile environment
• Demonstrated experience specifying customer needs and managing customer priorities
• Experience leading and managing cross functional teams in the development and integration of distributed, real-time software systems
• Demonstrated experience in performing stakeholder management in a large, complex Development Program
• Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking
• Ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
• Applicant should have good working knowledge of MS Office products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• MDA and Missile Defense Systems experience and knowledge strongly desired
• Experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and automated test tools
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience a plus
• Product Owner experience a plus
• Command and control system application development
• Experience with Software Integration and formal testing
• Use of common Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitLab, Nexus, Ansible, NetBox and Tower
• Use and configuration of container platform/orchestration products such as Kubernetes
• Good working knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts, defense communications systems, and the BMDS is highly desired

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
